Good no frills hotel

Good no frills basic hotel in central Nice. Helpful staff, quick efficient check in. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Good option for a couple of nights. 10 minute walk to tram station for airport connection at Jean Medecin.

I was tired after my trip and greatly appreciated the friendliness of the man who checked me in. There's a ramp up to where the elevator is located, so it's easy to navigate with suitcases. Room was small, but that was fine, and the barhroom appears to be recently renovated. It even had a small balcony with a couple of chairs.

Fantastically gracious staff - at breakfast the following morning the desk clerk handed me 25 euro saying I had dropped it in the lobby the night before! Wonderful

Tiny rooms, unclean carpet in the rooms, AC not working, hair dryer runs only for 30-ish seconds (cooldown period of 4-5 minutes). Staff was not helpful in fixing AC at around 9:30 pm. Some explanation they gave - multiple rooms use same compressor. So if any one room changes “mode” on their remote, all other rooms lose cooling, and that they cannot disturb guests to address it. Very poor experience.
