If you are looking for a clean place to spend the night, this honestly fits the bill. Not a lot to complain about, just don't expect any bells and whistles. As others have already pointed out, yes it does look like it is from the 1980s as the deco probably hasn't been updated in a while (bathroom looks refurbished though), but having said that, it was clean (apart from the extractor in the bathroom that needs a good scrubbing) As it is in the middle of nowhere, don't expect some fine dining experience (even though the tables are all set for a 6 course meal! Yes, complete with the salad forks), you also need to book a table in advance which is understandable due to its location and potentially limited seating. A great place to spend a night or two while exploring the local area. Staff were friendly and generally welcoming (Roshenka? seems to be in charge). We will consider staying here again

This is an old property formerly i believe known as the Highlander Motel and parts of it still show its age That said my room was spacious, clean with what appeared to be a new refurbished bathroom with shower cabinet I enjoyed my stay with the staff on arrival and breakfast next morning being very pleasant. Service was excellent. One point to note is that the hotel is used for bus tours but that did not bother me in the least. Would stay here again if the need arose.

Highlander Hotel was recommended by a friend who had been impressed at how well they catered for large bus trips as well as smaller parties. We weren't sure it would suit us but tried it for two nights. It was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being a pet friendly hotel our room had absolutely no sign of ever having an animal in it and was spotlessly clean. The food was good and the staff were excellent - even offering us a cooked breakfast when we arrived 20 minutes late after I misread the breakfast times! Facilities were very good and it is conveniently placed for travel without traffic noise. Thank you.
