Had a great stay for a quick trip to ski Sunapee. Can't beat the location at the bottom of the mountain and right next door to a restaurant. Pool was not crowded, room was just right for what we needed (king + 2 twins) for our family of four. First time with this concept of an unstaffed hotel. Easy check in/out, and we didn't need anything during our stay so it worked for us. Only complaint is that the walls/ceilings are thin. If you are unlucky enough to share a wall or ceiling with a noisy neighbor, be prepared to grin and bear it.

Perspective - Father late 30’s, 8 yr old girl, 4 yr old son, wife does not ski. Wanted just one night during winter break. The Good: 1.) Location - Super continent location to mountain. Restaurant in walking distance. 2.) Shuttle - runs every hour to Sunapee. 3.) Price - reasonable price for what you are getting especially during holiday season. 4.) One Night Booking: other places require more than one night to book. I just needed one, this place allowed for it. Huge. 5.) Records: cool touch with the massive record options that you could use in your record player. The Bad: 1.) No Staff - Just not a fan of the self check in stuff. I like to have a front desk person to go to for questions or issues. They just have random house keeping people. 2.) Coffee - coffee machine broken. Temporary solution provided ran out fast. Not great. 3.) No Breakfast - I was aware of this going into it but, man, no continental breakfast when you have kids is the worst. There aren’t any options around other than the mountain itself. 4.) Pool - says it is heated but it was freezing. Awful. Kids were crushed. 5.) No Hot Tub: gotta have a hot tub when your pool is freezing. 6.) no Hot Water for Shower: pretty bad when you don’t have hot water in the shower after the cold pool experience. Not great. 7.) game Room: cool that the game room existed but the lighting was so strange and dim. Could be real cool. 8.) Fire Pit Area: no firepit area operational, should’ve been, seemed nice.

This Inn is going through some kinks of new ownership. The stay was clumsy with some little inconveniences, but what stuck with me the most was the lack of a front desk. The online only check in process may be the future of hotels in cities, but the charm of these country Inns is the staff you engage with. The Inn Keeper was really nice and doing his best. I wish he was at the front deck checking us in … would have enjoyed a conversation with him. Nice game room downstairs and very convenient Irish pub next door. Good proximity to skiing. Please bring back front desk … get rid of that silly online check in process.

The good: super close to the ski resort, nicely decorated, lots of well appointed common spaces, clean and fresh looking rooms, nice bathrooms. The not so good: shower doesn't get hot enough, pool not warm enough, no hot tub at a ski hotel, coffee maker not working in lobby, roku tv in room not nice - give us regular tv please, rooms too dark even with all lights on - very hard to see after sundown, and no breakfast available at a ski hotel! The terrible: checking in. There are no staff members. It's all done via email and text. Only, my rooom code didnt work and I spent 30 minutes on the phone with their overseas help desk. They never could help but fortunately I saw a chamber maid who helped me get in. This staffless hotel of the future isn't working yet. I saw several guests struggling to check in to the inn without an innkeeper. Overall, a nice space and I'd go back, but, I'm not a fan of their high tech system.

Place is update old Inn. It’s well done. This company is trying to limit overhead by not having a front desk. Which means there’s no one around to help. Very cool for check in and out but not so good when you need something. They provide a link to “text” them. It didn’t work. I called and got someone overseas. All conversation was delayed because it needed to go through a translation machine and she kept asking me hold as she “looked into it.”The hotel was completely overrun with feral children(to be fair we have two of our own). They were roaming the halls banging on doors until 8pm. No parents in sight. We’ve travel a lot and have never seen anything like this. It was like a summer camp. The walls are thin so you hear stomping and toilets flushing but they provide a white noise machine(probably because of complaints). Rooms are clean and well decorated; Only the basics but that’s fine. Pool looks dirty but it might just be the plaster color. We opted out… Outdoor fire pit wasn’t running and common space in the lobby was crowded. It’s too bad because the vibe is cool and location is great but they have huge bugs to work out. Won’t be returning.

I’ve never written a review for a hotel prior to checking out. But feel compelled to do so because the experience has been a nightmare. The check-in process which was contactless took half a day to complete due to a faulty online system and challenges reaching hotel personnel (who did not apologize for the extended holds, and did not call me back when he said he would). Once we arrived, we greeted by a chaotic “common space” which was occupied by the same 2 families for over 24 hours. These families ran up and down the hallways, crying, and yelling, without any consideration of the other guests. Unfortunately the walls of our room did not serve as a sound barrier. They are paper thin. We can even hear the snores of the guests in the adjacent room. To make matters worse, the shower water was cold. The pool was also frigid! There is no phone in the room to contact staff for assistance. We cannot wait to check out tomorrow morning! This has been an awful stay. We will find other accommodations when we return to Mt Sunapee for skiing. We plan to make an official complaint soon.

Room and facility was great. But the lack of a staff member at night resulted in kids playing in the halls and making a lot of noise. No parents around to keep things quite and this disturbed guests. The hotel should ensure the kids use the rec rooms, not hallways.

I had reservations for 2 days We had no hot water for 2 days. The staff avoided my grievance. I tried texting the hotel, but the link they provided didn’t have a recipient so I could not contact them that way. I then called and informed them there is no hot water for 2 days. The person responded that it was fixed yesterday. I repeated that there is no hot water. The person then said that maintenance is scheduled to fix it tomorrow. I thought that was suspicious so I asked to speak to management and was told they aren’t available. I requested that management call me when available and have not heard from them at all.

The moment you drive up to the hotel with the fun wood paneled porte-cochère and you walk into the wonderfully scented lobby (they must infuse a special "welcoming hotel" scent!), you just feel great about your choice of stay. There was a sweet young man helping us check in at 4 pm, and on a weekend you can expect lots of boisterous kids and their parents looking for a break and maybe not watching their kids so closely (pool and play room are supposed to close at 9, but two dads and a boy were playing ping pong (loudly yelling) until around 10:30 (if this will bother you try to request a room that isn't near the rec room). Everything was super clean, well appointed (modern shiny fixtures in the bathroom), although the water didn't get as hot as I like (I like very very hot showers). The nicest part is that the Mt. Sunapee shuttle bus picks up most days at 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30! Which is nice if you stress about parking (as I do).

My room was spotless and very welcoming. I require grab bars and they were there and placed perfectly. The staff was friendly and helped with any questions. My only suggestion is to add a small table. When I bring my coffee back to my room, there's no place to put it except on the wooden bed frame. The Living Room was so cozy with the fire place going.

No staff!! The online check in was annoying, so many email messages but no help to do the on line check in. Older smart phone did not allow for taking picture of license and photo which was frustrating. Had to use someone else’s phone to complete the process. The pool was not very clean!
