A peaceful cabin retreat nestled on 95 acres of private woodland property. This locally-sourced oak-sided cabin offers natural serenity and is the perfect place to unplug and get away. This property boasts a totally private hot tub and fire pit area surrounded by acres of bamboo, exposed rock and woods. Enjoy a delicious beverage on the wrap around deck, with multiple sitting areas, the second story deck or in the amazing hot tub. Discover our exposed rock overhangs (a mini Hocking Hills) and visit our woodland pond (plenty of bass and bluegill). Naturalists study this area due to it's fantastic biodiversity.

This warm and inviting cabin is nestled in a private setting down a long, flat and accessible driveway.

This get away consists of three bedrooms: two bedrooms and a large master loft. The master loft has a king-size bed, bamboo flooring, it's own bathroom, private second story deck area and a sitting area for leisure reading. Downstairs, the "Bollywood bedroom" features queen-sized, silk sari-draped canopy bed with cozy, pillowy bedding. The second downstairs bedroom consists of a full-size bed and a twin bed and sleeps three comfortably.

The living room and dining area are surrounded by windows providing wonderful views of this private and scenic setting. The space is warm and inviting, clean and accommodating. It is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or for a memorable friends and family gathering. A fantastic choice for those visiting Ohio University, Athens or visiting to the Hocking Hills region.

There are so many wonderful things to do in the area. Take a left out of the long driveway and the road leads directly to Athens, Ohio and Ohio University (a 13 minute drive). The city of Athens features eclectic dining and features 22 pubs in the energetic uptown area alone. Ohio University is one of the most beautiful and oldest college campuses in the United States.

Take a right out of the driveway and arrive (a 23 minute drive) at Ash Cave in the gorgeous Hocking Hills State Park.

Cross the street and enter into Waterloo Wildlife Area featuring thousands of acres of nature’s bounty, fishing and public hunting. The historic and haunted Moonville tunnel is a nearby for a memorable experience. Horseback riding is available in the area at Uncle Bucks riding stable. Visit gorgeous Lake Hope Lodge for hiking, canoeing and an incredible dining experience (you have got to try the smores).

What a great place for a romantic weekend or escape from the kids or to bring the whole family. Place was immaculate and the hosts felt like friends. Highly responsive of our every need. The property had so much to offer we regret not staying longer to take advantage of everything. Close to everything yet quiet with tons of privacy! Cannot wait to come again in the summer.

Great location!!! Easy to find and close to Athens and plenty of places to hike. We had a little trouble with the hiking trail behind the caving. It’s not clearly marked, and we ended up abandoning the trek midway. We also found a few teeny ticks, so anyone heading down make sure you protect yourself and your dogs. Speaking of dogs- there was a bit of an issue with that as well- the previous renter must’ve had a big dog with them, because there were some MASSIVE poo piles in the front yard. We picked them up, but our dog walked through one and we had to immediately toss him in the bath. It was pretty challenging as there is no hose sprayer in the downstairs bathroom. We loved the amount of space. It feels *just right*; cozy but not cramped. We cooked at the cabin and enjoyed a few nights of meals together around the table. The hot tub after a long day of hiking was awesome, but could’ve been cleaner. The whole place. Old use a deep clean tbh. It’s dusty and dirty, but for our needs it was adequate. There was no dish soap that I could locate, just a watered down container of dawn in a hand pump. We used it all! Hoping that gets replaced for the next person. My son dropped a glass in the sink and shattered it- maybe a few kid-friendly plastic cups are a good idea. Overall, it was a good stay, but a few updates and a deep clean could make it an excellent one!

This place is beautiful. Hot tub was wonderful. It was very clean and decorated to our style. Love the primative tables and the wood shiplap. Love the decorations of pottery. Loved the lights around the japenese maple on the patio.

The cabin was exactly the title...a little slice of heaven. We got there and it immediately took our breath away. We walked into a gorgeous and spacious home which had everything we needed! All you truly need to bring is food and yourself! The little details of everything that you need or might need, showed how thoughtful these owners are! Friends getway

Cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. Clean, beds comfortable, close enough to civilization to get groceries and to hocking hills hiking. Kitchen had most of what we needed to prepare meals. Good spot for our getaway.
