I loved this little hotel. I had no idea how centrally located it would be when I booked it! It's a no-frills hotel. My room was very tiny with a single bed, but it had a private bathroom (which is all I care about). They clean the bedroom and change the towels every day, but if you want the bed sheets changed, you need to ask them to do it. I was there for 10 days, and my bed sheets were not changed (although they did make my bed every day). Other than that.... loved it! The staff was great, helpful, super friendly, and the breakfast was awesome. No cold cuts, but breads, muffins, cereal, and awesome cappuccino!!! The hotel is walking distance to Naples' central train station and there are a TON of shops and restaurants around it. I felt super safe walking around the neighborhood the entire time I was there. Bonus! The "Eat Pray Love" pizzeria (L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele) is only about 3 or 4 blocks from Hotel Colombo, and I didn't even know! Imagine my shock! The Hop On Hop Off bus has a stop right across the street from the hotel (Stop #7), so that was awesome, too!!! I cried on my last day. I still miss my tiny room and my daily routine. If you're content with "simple" things like I am when I travel, you will love Hotel Colombo!

Value for money

Staff are pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean as well. Can be a bit of a walk to some attractions, however the station is very close which is helpful for your day trips and with the metro nearby it is a good place if you're travelling further out. The streets around it don't like very friendly, but its very close to a main road so it's not that bad. Only criticism is that the walls can be a bit thin, heard some conversations from the room next door, but didn't bother me too much. BTW, great cafe - pizzeria around the corner on the main road with cheap and tasty pizza

Good location for metro and location for the old town.Can leave your luggage at hotel before your check-in time and leave it for collection later after check-out.Staff friendly and give advice on where and how to get around Naples.Reception open 24-7 so always somebody to help with any questions.little terrace to have drinks but no draft beer only cans.

While the hotel was conveniently located for trains, like train station areas in other cities it felt somewhat unsafe (people loitering in the street). Staff were courteous and a simple breakfast was provided. The room was relatively clean, looked as in the photos but smelled of smoke. Therefore good value for money if in Naples to catch a train.

Very nice staff

Very friendly staff, they were eager to give us advice and help with our requests. The hotel isn’t anything special and the breakfast could improve but it’s a good price for the location and the staff was the highlight of the stay.

Just What You Need

What a great find in the centre of Naples. A clean and comfortable hotel with friendly helpful staff. The surrounding area looks a little intimidating but shows the daily life with street markets and cafes,just a few minutes walk away is the train station for sight seeing trips to Pompei/Sorrento. After a day in the heat the rooms air conditioning is very welcome as is the mini bar. The bathroom is equipped with toiletries and has fresh towels daily along with the cleaning of the room,and the beds were comfortable. Great outside area to sit and have a moment of peace. Good choice at breakfast with cereals,yogurts,cakes,rolls,bread,cheese,salami and juices and a selection of hot drinks. We would highly recommend staying here and will be back.

reception staff, friendly and welcoming, location,:central, close to station, situated on back street with market, which i found lively and interesting , though shabby. it was a cheap hotel so i wasnt expecting 4 star, but my room, 105 was narrow and musty.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

While I was checking in the man at the front office only gave me the key to the room, he never told me about the breakfast they had during the mornings at the hotel. I went ahead and asked him of the local calls were free and his answer was, "yes" once in the room he had to make a local call at first it worked without a problem. All of a sudden the call ended, there I was trying to make another call but it wouldn't work. I called the front desk and the guy picked up, I asked him about the call and his words were, "It too much to make a local call" I was confused and honestly he seemed not to care at all. Seems he had lied since the beginning. I was very disappointed with that. The air in the room didn't seem to work very well at all. The room was too HOT and each time the air would turn on it would turn off within seconds then it would start feeling very hot again. In the bathroom I found a towel that was dirty and once again I was very disappointed with how things were in the room. The staff wasn't as friendly as I thought they would be. They could have at least explained more or made one feel more welcomed at the hotel. We never even knew what time was check-out time since they never told us. I personality wouldn't ever recommend this hotel to anyone. So anyone who plans on booking on this hotel please think it over before booking it.
