The perfect stay

Beautiful palazzo perfectly located on via Toledo. One of the warmest welcomes you could imagine by a very attentive host and staff.

Antiques-filled B&B inside old palazzo in the Spanish Q is fun while visiting either the Spanish quarter or Centro Storico, but it is not easy to figure out the elevator by yourself (I didn't even see it on arrival, & we lugged our stuff up long couple flights of stairs). Best to call the front desk on arrival, for help. Hugely friendly managers, aim to please, decent English spoken night and day. Good strong fiberglass french doors shut out all sound from street. Good firm mattress. Room a little musty and echoes so much it can drive you crazy just talking about the weather, but "Toledo" room was huge and had a good writing table, armoire with safe, extra twin bed, and dainty balcony with table & chair. Working air con. Good breakfast with eggs cooked to order, but no espresso. Fantastic neighborhood close to leather craftsmen and straight shot eastward to Xmas alley (enjoyable 11 min walk).

Don't check in at night.

We had a late night check-in (midnight) which we advised the hotel about. On arrival at the hotels address there was no indication it existed. No signs. No visible street number. No intercom. The street felt very unsafe at night. In the end we rang the hotel and the door to the inner courtyard was opened was opened. The hotel is entry in on the second floor. The front room was really noisy due to early morning traffic. The room itself was massive as it was an old palace. Breakfast was nice.

Great location, great staff

A little tricky to find but excellent location very close to the vibrant and intesting historical district, and the staff were super friendly. The son of the owner who checked us in is a master piano player who was belting out amazing music during the day which is actually great in this building which had maintained its 16th century style charm of painted ceilings and classic furnishings.

Nice stay in central Napoli

We were happy to find out that we had been upgraded into a bigger room. The room furnitures and decoration were amazing (old italian palace style). The mattress was very comfortable and the location is very central. The owners were very friendly and helpful with us. On the downside, the shower was a bit old.

Loved everything about this B&B - room was very spacious (we were 3 sharing this room and not least bit cramped), with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water and water pressure in shower - small balcony overlooked bustling Via Toledo, but the excellent soundproof doors made this not a problem. The period furnishings and old world elegance of this historical building, and delightful hosts, made this an unforgetable part of our stay in Italy. The breakfast room was so inviting and cheery with excellent coffee and eggs cooked to order!!! The location was perfect in the historic center of Naples a vibrant and exciting city, with easy access to all modes of transportation, although most things in walking distance as well. Our staff, Suzy and Alberto, bubbling with personality and sense of humor - charming and helpful - a special thanks to them - they will not be forgotten. This would be a first choice to stay if I ever return to Naples.....

I'd be happy staying here again. Now knowing the layout, I might opt to pay a bit more for a bigger room with balcony on street side, rather than shuttered window opening on courtyard side. Nothing wrong with the room I was given.

Deceiving

The pictures of this hotel look amazing - too good to be true. For me, they were. I was put in a small apartment above the main room, which was very nice & clean with a fridge and a stove, but nothing at ALL like the photos on their site. I was only there one night - I didn't need a fridge or stove and had been looking forward to the ambiance of the room shots they advertised. Its extremely difficult to find - the cab had to look at my map 3 times before finding it, and I couldn't really tell where it was - inside this large courtyard and up two flights of stairs. Two of the three people I met spoke at least a little English, but for some reason the one who did not was the one to show me my room and tell me about the FOUR keys they were giving me. At the time I thought I understood, but turns out there was some miscommunication... more on that I was assured in several forums that this was a fine area of the city, but when I was leaving dinner around 10pm at a restaurant about two blocks away, the entire staff freaked out that I was going to walk two blocks back to the hotel, said it was incredibly unsafe for a woman, insisted I button my coat up to my chin and not take out my phone to look at my map - I was a bit freaked out. I'm a street-smart city-dweller (I know not to flash around money and protect my purse) but everyone was acting a little too intense for it to be just your normal city-caution. The restaurant owner's son escorted me the two blocks but when we got there there were these HUGE, thick wooden doors covering the courtyard entrance, locked. We tried all 4 keys and none of them seemed to work. Good thing my escort had a cell phone and called the B&B # - they came downstairs and let me in, but the guy complained, saying they GAVE me the key. We tried every key several times and none worked (oh, and by this time there were only 3 keys, because one of them broke off in another door earlier in the day). It was before 10:30, we were both completely sober - i cant imagine any of those keys worked. All of that being said, they did set up a cab for me for my 6am train and they kindly put breakfast in my room the night before, which was lovely.

Tout d'abord une accueil merveilleux. Notre hôtesse parle le français parfaitement bien avec un charme napolitain très joyeux. Les éventuelles questions sont réglées sans difficulté. Le logement est très spacieux dans les parties communes, notamment la salle du petit déjeuner qui est digne de ce vieux palace napolitains. La partie privative sans être immense est très confortable. Il y a un personnel de service en permanence sur place. Et, last but not least, l'emplacement dans le vieux Naples est très central. La plupart des sites majeurs de Naples sont accessibles à pied (entre 5 minutes et 30 minutes).

Séjour très agréable de 3 nuits dans ce Palais du centre ville, sur la via Toledo. Le Palais Caraffa occupe tout un pâté de maisons, mai l'hôtel seulement un demi étage avec 3 chambres. tenu par une famille l'accueil est des plus sympathique. Musées et églises baroques à 2 pas. Palais en refection depuis es années, ne pas se fier à l'entrée et la cour non restaure pour le moment.

Magnifique chambre dans un ancien palais !!

Nous avions une chambre exceptionnellement magnifique dans le palais (pas celle induquée)! Alberto et Suzy sont des hôtes très gentils ! Sur une rue passante avec un peu de bruit mais quand même correct pour dormir.
