Classic Beach House with Awesome Uard and Pool

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4 summers ago we started vacationing out side of Ocean Lakes and this summer we found our new favorite! Clean, plenty of room for the 9 of us and very short walk to the beach. The pool and fenced in yard are amazing! Maybe bring your own can opener because we couldn't find one. LOL Have already booked for 2026!

Great Location, perfect for a family with Teenagers

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: ⸻We absolutely loved our stay! There are just a few things we wanted to mention for future reference: • While we appreciate that this is a pet-friendly home, we did not bring a pet, and we noticed there was quite a bit of dog hair throughout the house. We swept daily but still found hair in many areas. • We would have loved if the property had a grill available. We’ll plan to bring our own next time! • We loved the downstairs bedroom setup. It was perfect for our four teens — they really enjoyed having their own space.Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We’re looking forward to returning!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ll start with the PROS (and there is a lot that is great about this property)- Good location (about 150 steps to the beach)- Can walk the pier and downtown (approx .8 miles one way)- Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths up top and a separate bedroom with bathroom below- Great front and back deck- Pet friendly (harder to find in Garden City)- Great big fenced yard (perfect if you are bringing a pet)- Quiet street- Comfortable couch - Decent sized kitchen CONS- Some outdated furniture - Not much storage for clothing - No hangers in closets- Iron beds are a little squeaky and old- Kitchen supplies are lacking (old frying pans, lack of some basic cooking utensils, etc)We found it a little challenging to cook meals at home, which we prefer to eating out.Overall we would definitely stay here again because the PROS outweigh the CONS by a lot. But we’d probably bring some of our own kitchen ware. I want to end with saying that Garden City Realty was very accommodating, friendly and prompt with any issues we had. We have nothing but good things to say about the management company. Just a few small upgrades to the actual property would make it 5 star for us.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our family. We had 6 teenagers with us. The setup was perfect for our family. My husband and I had our own little apartment down below the house. The washing machine and dryer were outside next to our apartment so that was convenient for me since I was the one washing the dirty clothes. Big yard for our dog and a nice size pool! I spoke with Caitlyn on Sunday who was over housekeeping that day. I had concerns about the bedding on all the beds. She handled it with professionalism and was very prompt with me. She sent me plenty of towels, sheets/ pillow cases and fitted sheets for all the beds. She helped make our first day much better. Thank you Caitlyn!

Doin' Our Thing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this location very much. We stayed from January 1 thru April 1. Garden City Realty is amazing. They fix things very quickly and check in to see if things are good during your stay. The furniture in living room is not greatly comfortable. We did purchase a office chair which matched the set in living room. Our disappointment is it has been removed looking at new photos. We also purchased a new hand mixer due to the one there did not work. I hope this is still there. We did not purchase a cheap one. We did have to deal with the pool construction but that was fine. After booking this for next year they want to charge $300.00 extra for pool heater. This is absurd. (WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS PRIOR TO RENTING.) We are discussing this (family) may change plans now. Hopefully they add some pool furniture. The backyard is fabulous for our dogs. It is completely fenced in. We love the downstairs living area due to our dog is blind and cannot use stairs. IF we return or you rent you may want to bring some outdoor chairs as there were only 2 short adirondack style chairs downstairs. 1 2 person swing on front porch. 3 chairs and a picnic table on back deck.

Reviewer Comments: The furnishings were very pet friendly; large fenced in backyard but so much loose dirt the dogs were very dirty; the security lights weren't working; the Keurig didn't work and no other coffee pot available; the back deck was a mess with broken pieces of plastic from the fence plus the picnic table and chairs were dirty and secured to the fence so we never used them. Overall, it was adequate but would not return.

Downstairs unit did not have a/c control and was extremely hard to manage. Our guests upstairs were freezing just so we could get air downstairs. The property was not clean at check in. Management did remedy this. The beds are cheap and extremely uncomfortable. The downstairs unit is by no means a master suite. At 5’4” and 115lbs I barely fit in the shower. The outdoor “shower” was a hose. Thr overall condition of the house is very poor. I would not stay here again

Figured it out on Sunday and Called Garden City Realty and Tim sent someone right over to fix it. Thank you Tim!! 4th bedroom has no inside didn't work. You have to go outside to enter main living area. So we stayed upstairs. Kitchen amenities lacking. Ice maker didn't work. Shower door in back bedroom kept falling off. 3 minute walk to beach. Overall not bad.
