Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was nice. The house is lovely. We were disappointed in the rebooking schedule for 2026. We were not allowed to rent the same week again for the next year because the people staying the previous week had priority.

Plenty of space for everyone only problems we had were not enough silver wear for everyone and the fridge was dirty plus the shelf’s were broken other than that which isn’t any big deal we had the best time and we would most definitely rent this house again.

We enjoyed the hot tub and pool but mostly the beach. House was clean but could use a little updating and maintenance. We would have liked 2 refrigerators because we had a large group and mainly cooked in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was lovely! The only issue we had was that the recycling/trash pick up didn't always happen on the days posted on the refrigerator. Also, some of the dishes in the cabinets were very dirty - the people before us must not have washed them very well. Otherwise it was great!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have stayed off and on at Ocean Air for the last 30 or more years. We love the house and the location! So much room and so comfortable. The dinner table is my favorite. We can all sit around that table together and have dinner. You can't go wrong with this house.I am upset about how late it is getting into the house on check in day. Garden City Realty says they cannot guarantee you can get in at 4:00 but the last couple times we have rented this house it's been late. This year we did not get in until 5:30. The people that rented before were out before 9:00. Then the Realty place wants you to let them know when you vacate the house. I understand that but that house should be ready by 4:00 or before. Maybe they need to hire more people.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Ocean Air with our large family and it was absolutely perfect for us.The porch was stunning — spacious, beautifully furnished with Adirondack chairs, and ideal for any weather. On a stormy day, we sat under the deep covered porch, listening to the rain while still enjoying a front-row view of the ocean. Every evening, we gathered there to watch the sun sink into the horizon.The location couldn’t have been better. It’s far enough from public beach access points to keep the shore quiet and uncrowded, but still just minutes from grocery stores and great restaurants.The pool was spectacular — unique in that part of it sits under the porch, offering shade and a break from the sun after a full day on the beach.Inside, the kitchen was surprisingly large (much bigger than it looks in the photos) and well-equipped, and the spacious dining table was a dream — everyone in our group could sit together for dinner, which made for such special evenings.If we could change just one thing, it would be to add more living room seating. We all love to gather for movie nights, and with our big group, a sectional would be a huge upgrade so no one ends up on a floor pallet.Overall, Ocean Air was the perfect setting for our family’s beach week — so much so that we’ve already booked our stay for next year!

It was not as clean as it should have been. Also the pots and pans were so old the Teflon flacked off of them when we tried to cook. We would definitely rent this house again if they replace the pans and spend a little more time cleaning.

The family and kitchen area is very roomy. The pool and hot tub are great amenities to have after a few hours on the beach. There were only a few cosmetic issues with the house but that goes with a rental property. Garden City Realty was very responsive to all of our needs. We will be back!

Reviewer Comments: the good news the house held our entire group and loved the deck and beach accessthey negative, the deck rail was propped with a rock once the kids played with rock and removed the rail popped out and luckily we caught our 1yr old granddaughter or it would have been a terrible tragedy. i mention this bc something to watch and owner & reality need to do better job inspecting the house could use a maintenance review as many elements internally need repair we’ll pass on this rental until updates happen

I was disappointed to find out that the pool is no longer heated. This was not told to me until a couple of days before arrival. I would recommend fixing the pool heater as it is unusable without. The home is starting to get tired. I would recommend a good cleaning, painting, and minor repairs. I know that my group will be investigating other properties if the pool is not heated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice home. It could have used some maintenance to the property. Nails were popping up on the deck. I know everyone goes to the beach for the sunrises, but some options to block out the sunrise would be awesome. Cleaning glad you reminded me. We moved to couch and chairs looking items we may have dropped. Found broken glass and we had several small children. We understand that the people who Cleaning only have a few hours to turn it around for the next guest.

Reviewer Comments: Despite the fact that the pool lights never worked, the hot tub didn't work, the outside shower didn't work and the upstairs had a terrible leak from somewhere we didn't know about, we had a nice time. The place is spacious, elevator was good, the pool is nice, beachfront, and the management team was good about refunding us for the above items not working.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were guests 2 years after built, again in 2021 ant this year. Things that need attention many surfaces are grubby, doors, kitchen sink stove top doors. Many things need repaired, water pipe from beach,rotten deck boards, soffit on deck. Needs paint outside and some inside. The $ that we paid was far to much for the condition. General cleaning was good on arrival. Staff was friendly. We would like to rent again in 2 years but only if condition improve.

Far enough away from the hustle, but close enough to go when wanted.We arrived to an unlocked home. Once inside the house was not very clean. Sand on floors, wooden dining table filthy and sticky, cob webs on stairs and several corners, baseboards and floors swept at best. Mildew/mold on atleast one shower curtain. Sheets supplied though wrapped as clean had stains on them. Not enough pillowcases as pillows. Several bath towels where worn or small holes. Broken rocking chair on porch. The porch ceiling needs repair as does ceiling in kitchen area. Pool had sand, buy guess that's hard to escape. Pool person came to clean and accused us of taking some timer thing. My son informed her this is how it was when we arrived. She made comment well it was here Saturday. Then said it's no big deal. Yes, it is when we have no clue what it is or how a hose was apparently moved. We arrived on Saturday to all trash cans at curb full. Had to call on Wednesday as trash (including lots additional still not picked up. We did call about several of these issues. New sheets delivered. Missing towels/wash clothes delivered. Removal of broken rocking chair. Trash picked up. Said they would speak to cleaning crew. Kitchen was in total disarray. No sets of pots/pans. Not enough silverware. Hodge podge of things. For the $ paid this was the worse experience in our visits to NC/SC. With a little TLC and a more "aware" cleaning/rental company this place would be perfect!

Outdoor shower did not work. Maintenance came and hooked up a hose but the next day someone came and said the hose needs to be in the pool because it has a leak. They put it on a timer so we couldn't use it. The kitchen needs updated appliances and more pots and pans and bowls. When you pay $15000 for a house it should be immaculate! love the location but wont stay at Ocean air again! I do like Garden City Realty!

Sliding doors don’t slide very easily. 12 people with 8 forks ? 2 dishwashers was nice but couldn’t slide out bottom rack. When using garbage disposal - sink leaked. Ice maker broken. Place was clean pool great and hot tub nice. Won’t rent again as price has been jacked up and just not worth the price.

Family Summer Vacation - Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time here at this cottage. Would suggest that realty company look at the dishwasher nearest the road (north). It is missing some rollers which made it difficult to pull out and push in on the bottom. Also, the dishwasher nearest the ocean (south) may also be missing a roller or two on the bottom as well. Thanks for furnishing the linens, Garden City Realty. The pool was always clean. We were all thankful for the elevator what with all of our luggage and supplies for the house. The master bedroom has a duct or something hanging from the ceiling. Also, one of the master bathroom shower heads is missing.

Great location and lots of space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at this house about 5 times and we love it. The porch overlooking the ocean is great. The pool is nice. My only negatives are the house is in need of some updates (paint, etc.) and the Hot Tub is old and in need of replacement. Other than that we love Ocean Air.
