The Monte Blanco Inn is an older (1940s) auto court motel with 14 rooms. The Inn, or at least my room, 14, is in need of remodeling and updating. Everything was clean, lots of towels, a real coffeemaker - with coffee in a jar! The bed was comfortable and the blanket and comforter were heavy and warm. And I could park right outside my room. But the bathroom really needs a total remodel. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough, so water leaked out on the floor. Plus, the pan in the shower, was not level and the drain was slightly elevated, so the shower would not drain completely. Multiple changes made over the year to the walls were evident. The rooms - it was a two bedroom unit - were probably designed for double beds, but now held queen beds and those beds took up most of the rooms. Again, the room needed remodeling. It was okay, but I’ll probably look for someplace else the next time I stay in Mt. Shasta.

Ticked all the boxes for me. Clean, convenient, quiet, comfortable. Different type of check-in but went well without a problem. Regular drip coffee pot was nice. Water hot with plenty of pressure (maybe too much?). Bed comfy. Priced right.

Clean, Comfortable, and Safe

I highly recommend Monte Bianco and will stay here when I'm in the Mount Shasta area. Checking in was quick and convenient. I rented 2 rooms and they both were clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a safe and quiet area.

A little awkward...

When we arrived, the office door was locked during business hours, after ringing doorbell twice and waiting a few minutes at the door, someone finally opened the door. I said "hi, I have reservations for tonight. And she looked very confused and walked back behind the counter, and then a child came into the room and asked my name, and then the adult handed me a key. We requested a room with two queen size beds. When I entered the room it was a very small room with barely enough walking room around a single queen bed, in the next room was another extremely small room with a queen bed in it with no more than a couple feet of space around the bed. The bathroom was extremely small and we could barely fit between the sink and the shower to get to the toilet. The blinds on the window were stuck open and it was starting to get dark. As I was trying to fix the blinds and close them, I noticed a few people standing outside of my window looking in at me and my family. I realized that it was relatives or family of the hotel owner. They also stood around our car, looked in the car windows and looked at the license plates. It was very odd. The floor of the room was very dirty. Our socks turned black. The beds were extremely tall, and the mattress's were very very soft, so soft it was hard to get into bed, or roll over during sleep. No ice machine. No cable. I would not stay here again.

Nice clean room with super comfy soft bedding. The underneath of the bed is made of aluminum though, and it makes the crazy aluminum sound when you get in the bed. Check in was super easy, I was able to check myself into the room after hours at 8pm after making a reservation around 5. They put a lot of love into this place, would stay here again
