Wonderful time

It's a beautuful home in a wonderful part of France. We loved every minute of our stay and will be going back for sure! Our family of six all loved it, the house and pool are amazing and there are loads of things to do within an hour of the house if you can drg yourself from the pool. David and Fanny were v helpful indeed.

Excellent experience

The owners are very generous and accessible. The property is romantic, has a great history and is well located in Medoc. Great landscape full of trees, birds and flowers, in the middle of vineyards. The villa is not far from Bordeaux, the magnificent beaches of the Atlantic (20 minutes drive), la Baie d'Arcachon. A great region of France. We recommend the experience.

Very nice house in a beautiful area

We stayed here with our two small kids and had a lovely time. The house is beautifully renovated and the garden and pool area are gorgeous. David and Fanny are very nice and were available to promptly help with any queries we had before and during our stay. The area around the property is full of pretty vineyards and Bordeaux is only 25-30 minutes drive away. The only (minor) negatives about the house are that the kitchen is a little on the small side and the house is quite near a busy road so you can occasionally hear the traffic from the garden. But on the whole we would recommend the property.

Stunning property with pool and outdoor areas in the beautiful Medoc wine region.

This is the second time of us staying at this property and its beauty remains the same. A stunning property with a great pool and multiple outside areas to relax and unwind. David and Fanny are fantastic hosts and communication was very easy. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The house is located in the Medoc wine region and 40 minutes drive to many fantastic beaches. Our favourite was Hourtin which is great for swimming and surfing.

A great holiday house for an adult family group

The house was really well maintained and furnished - lots of space, well-equipped and very comfortable. We liked that each couple had their own bathroom. The swimming pool was enjoyed by all, the garden had good seating areas and plenty of room to play boules, bat and ball etc (brought with us). It was private and enclosed, just a little closer to the main road than we’d envisaged. When the weather allowed (it was very hot!), we enjoyed walking through the vines into Castelnau de Médoc to buy bread and pastries, and to visit the busy market. The house was also very well situated for visiting some interesting wine areas! Finally, David and Fanny were very helpful hosts, and always quick to respond to messages. We had a lovely relaxing break.

Relaxing Break

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this beautiful and relaxing property and will definitely be returning. David and Fanny keep this property in an amazing condition. Its has everything you need and more. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge and freezer as well as a washer and a dryer. The outside area caters for everyone, with beds in the sun and a large covered area with a sofa area, dining table and hammocks. The second barn has BBQs and a large dining table, with outside sink and fridge. There is honestly no better place to relax.

Wonderful house with great garden & pool

The house is fabulous! Large family area, great bedrooms all with ensuite bathroom, a beautiful garden with several seating options & and a fantastic pool area! The kitchen is well equipped and the grill next to the kitchen too. Everything is very well planned and we felt at home instantly. We spend the really warm weeks of July in the house, but the house is built in stone and kept a cool temperature thanks to the window shutters! 👌 The hosts are very accommodating and gave great advice on e.g. markets, restaurants, beaches, and golf courses! We hope to return soon!

Great space for a gathering of friends

Beautiful house, pool and gardens - perfect for a gathering of friends. Excellent spaces for eating, cooking and socialising outside, lovely rooms inside for cooler evenings and having separate bathrooms for each bedroom makes it so easy to share the space. Close to the vineyards and villages and close enough to Bordeaux and the Atlantic beaches for easy visits.

A lovely stay in a stunning farmhouse amongst the wine groves

This house is stunning. The outside space is amazing and the two outdoor eating areas are a bonus. There are also nice touches in the garden such as the hammock and cushions around the pool area. The location is fantastic surrounded by vineyards and a 40 minute drove from Carcans beach - we were there every day! We will definitely consider returning.

We adored this fabulous house!! It was absolutely charming and immaculately clean. The decor was truly delightful. Sunsets by the pool added another wondering dimension to our stay. We could not recommend this house and the owners more highly. David and Fanny went out of their way to make us welcome and look after us.

Pictures don’t do this property justice

This house is truly incredible and as stated in the title the pictures don’t do the house justice. We stayed for a week (4 adults and 3 children) there are 3 double rooms all en-suite with a 4th master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The downstairs living area is vast, with a large living room, dining area and a very well equipped kitchen, including a big Fridge / Freezer. There are two outside covered seating areas, one by the pool, that includes an 8 seater table, ratalan sofas (x2) and chairs and 2 sun beds. This area also it’s own WiFi. The other area includes another 8 seater table, bar stools, 2 types of BBQ and a beer cooler. The pool is amazing and heated. We spent a lot of the week in it or using one of the sun beds around it. They even supplied lilos. As it is surrounded by fields, there was a gentle breeze that helped battle the mid day heat (although we just jumped in the pool when it got hot) The Intermache is a 5 minute drive away and has everything you may need in terms of supplies (including Gluten Free food) Carcans which is a really lovely beach is about 40mins away but if you go to Carcans Plage there are lots of restaurants and a good vibe, great if you are a surfer or want to learn. Bordeaux centre is about 55mins away and a straight forward drive in Although it’s hard to pull yourself away from the house and pool. David and Fanny have set this house and gardens up perfectly and We will definitely be back as not had such a relaxing holiday in years.

Une agréable surprise en découvrant une maison qui dépasse de loin ce que les photos ont déjà promis. Toute la maison est très bien équipée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût jusqu'au moindre détail. Fantastic house

We had a great week in the house. Plenty of space for a fanily of 6. Very elegant garden and outside area. Also great seperate barbeque/dining area in adjecent building. Close to several supermarkets and specialty shops. Bordeaux is not far, but traffic is heavy at times in and out of the city. We jighly recommend this property. Super friendly hosts.

Wonderful stay

This house is an amazing private oasis for a family break close to the route de vin. It is as lovely and authentic in its style in reality as on the pictures and we especially enjoyed relaxing at the pool, the roof topped terrasse and in the living room. Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Wir haben einen traumhaften 2-wöchigen Urlaub im Haus von Fanny und David verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Beschreibung und die Fotos des Hauses entsprachen 100% dem, was wir vorgefunden haben. Das Haus ist mit viel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Durch die en-suite Badezimmer ist eine angenehme Privatsphäre gewährleistet, wenn man wie wir mit 2 Familien unterwegs ist. Fanny und David waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Falls sich die Gelegenheit ergibt, würden wir gerne wiederkommen!

The most beautiful house we ever rented.

We've rented a number of houses in the past; this was the most beautiful, cosy and stylish one we ever rented; never seen so much love for details and a house so perfectly equipped. David and Fanny have been adorable and made this holiday almost perfect. If we are allowed to, we would repeat the experience any time again!
