Property was amazing, staff were extremely friendly, only slight criticism is they take a 100 franc per night deposit which i wasnt aware of, i am still awaiting my money to be released back into my account 2 days later thus far, other than that hotel is amazing abd area itself is wonderful

Superb location, it’s just across the road from the Train station. We had a corner Lake-view room and the view from the balcony was just gorgeous. Could see a long stretch of the Waterfront promenade, from the balcony. Staff was helpful at all times, Alex at the desk was particularly helpful and efficient. Overall, a superb experience.

Very convenient for train (across the street). Next to lakefront and room had nice view but unless you were dining at the restaurant there didn’t seem to be a place to enjoy the view from the public space/lobby of the hotel. Bar is right off of the reception area and is bery bright/not much ambiance. Service was good.

Beautiful view of lake Geneva from our room. Comfy rooms with a French aesthetic. Easy access to surrounding attractions including Chateau Chillon and Fort Chillon. Very nice restaurant as well with delicious food. I hope to return here soon to explore more of Montreux and the surrounding area.

Excellent historic hotel in a picturesque location right on the lake. From a view standpoint, splurging for the lake-view room is worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the area is beautiful and walkable. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Huge bonus, right across the street from the train station. I have a couple of complaints and I have these same complaints with every one of these older, historic hotels. They seem to be lacking in soundproofing and transfer noise from adjacent or above rooms. Second, every balcony hotel in Europe seems to allow smoking. This is unfair to those of us who don't smoke. I don't want to smell or hear people in the adjoining rooms. I also DO want to enjoy my balcony. I'm sure there's some sort of a calculation and because most Europeans smoke, they allow it. I have yet to be at a balcony hotel that didn't allow smoking and it's annoying. Can't even open the windows if the balcony next to you or below you is smoking. It just comes right in the room. Completely unfair.
