The entire facility needs a major upgrade. It is old and dated. The carpets were stained. The food was marginal. The service was excellent, except the bartending at the piano bar. Our room had odor, the stool dripped constantly, it took two days to get a working safe, housekeeping came as early as 8:04 AM Sunday. Do not expect great accomodations, just a laid back environment.

First, the positives. The staff with the exception of the Piano Bar was outstanding, and service oriented, despite the no tipping policy. The Island presented a secluded environment where everyone was exceedingly friendly. The lunches that were delivered were of dubious quality and quantity. lf you weren't in line quickly, you were out of luck. This hotel is definitely due for a major upgrade almost everywhere. The carpeting was aged and stained. Our safe was out of order and after two days a replacement was placed, unsecured on a shelf. Our toilet dripped constantly. The shower had mold. The television was missing all major networks months after the hurricane took out options. Missing the NFL playoff games was a bummer. Housekeeping came early, even knocking at 8:04 AM on Sunday. Nightly entertainment was sparse and There was little to do after 8PM except drink at a bar. If you are looking for a low key, no frills accomodation, this is the place for you. Do not expect the amenities to match the common luxury options you may have experienced at other locations.

Everything from beginning to end was just off. Property is more out of a James Bone movie from the 70s than what the pictures show. Arrival had us going to a room that was stocked for another couple having an anniversary, not what we had requested. We did a couples massage and my girlfriend's masseuse gave her one of the worst massages she ever got. Mine wasn't great by any means but at least ok, just not worth the price. The weather was mostly sunny with some intermittent water turbulence but they never opened up to do any water activities that were supposed to be included in the stay. The jacuzzis throughout were low and cool water with poor or no jets. Food was barely available 24/7 as advertised. All the restaurants were pretty much the same food even though they were marketed as being different and unique. Beyond the jerk food mostly everything else was bland and had little flavour or proper cooking. The evenings meals were obvious leftovers included in breakfast & lunches the following day. Fresh, good drinking water was hard to come by until we found a 5 gallon dispenser of good drinkable water in the workout room to refill containers and have on us. A soda dispensing machine at the poolside restaurant was out of order for most of our 5 days. No alternative was offered to fill its place. Bars did not have experienced bartenders and no ingredients for drinks on their menu. Everthing that could be lacking pretty much was. Do not recommend.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Entertainment crew did a good job with different holiday activities, especially loved the caroling from the employees. Kirk, at the front, attended to every need we needed. Paulette was amazing at the cleaning services she provided on a daily to our room.

This is our second time there and we returned for a reason. The staff is so welcoming from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, they are the friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever come across at a resort. The rooms are clean, the food is great and everything is so close by. There is not much more you could ask for in a resort. My only issue is we wish the bar opened before 10am!!

This is a nice,older, property with an outstanding staff and excellent food. The spa services were excellent as well. We stayed in the signature spa villa 6004 which included unlimited spa visits. The staff at the spa, especially Krystal, were super nice and helpful.The bed in the villa was amazing as was the pool. The bad: facilities are a bit run down and can use some paint and some TLC for sure. This place is right along the road at a busy intersection and is very loud with traffic noise 14 hrs per day. You can clearly see the intersection red light from the open air lobby, yes its that close to the main road. Not very relaxing and annoying to say the least. Thank goodness we brought a sound machine to try to drown out the noise to get some sleep, but at full volume, we were still woken up numerous times by jake brakes and airhorns. We also experienced no hot water in our villa for about a day, but was quickly corrected by staff. Our AC unit had a mind of it own and was very loud and squeaky. It worked when it it wanted to and would go from 68 to 84 degrees randomly, so you never knew what you were walking into. The food and service was excellent as were the bar tenders. If you are hard of hearing, I think this would be the perfect place for a great Jamaican vacation!

It is a very clean resort. The food options are very limited. There is no dinner buffet or lunch buffet. You typically have about three things to choose from on the lunch menu for entrees. The beach was well maintained and had plenty of chairs. It was a nice resort for an older one. It is located on a busy road so you do hear traffic and engine brakes all day long at the pool. We enjoyed our stay but I would most likely find a different resort based off of the food options.
