We were told during check in that the rooms have bugs that are in mating season and to just pick them up and put them outside. We had at least 50 of them over our 2 day non refundable stay. It was very creepy. The rooms and the grounds do not look like the pictures. Had we known we would not have booked it and we would never stay here again.

Hi Maria, I wish you'd have said something while you were here. I always go out of my way to provide great hospitality and want all my guests to leave here happy and relaxed. When you checked-in, I explained that the bugs (called Lovebugs and only here for two weeks in early Spring) were completely harmless, don't sting or bite, and were just around the rooms with balconies that overlook the river. There was no bugs in your room when you checked in because I personally checked. They get in the room when you go out to the balcony or leave the front door open, as I explained at the time. I'm sorry you found them creepy and would have been happy to move your room to another that wasn't overlooking the river. I also would have agreed to an early checkout with a refund if you'd have just let me know.
