Everything was great except for housekeeping didn’t show up to make up our room and WiFi was terrible-basically didn’t work at all. Breakfast was excellent, room was great, location was excellent.

I love staying here especially in the stormy winter- walking distance to the beach and comfortable beds to stay inside and warm up and rest.

Staff rude, check-in is 4pm. We were told our room wasn’t ready and had to wait an hour. Staff said check in starts at 4 but rooms and that doesn’t mean rooms are ready then. Property in desperate need of remodel it just basic maintenance. Paid extra for room with fireplace which wasn’t functioning. Bathtub drain clogged with a HUGE hairball…disgusting.

The check in process was agonizingly slow. There was only one worker and they seemed like they were doing everything, working the lobby, the breakfast bar, the pool... all workers were friendly and polite but had way too much on their plate.

Nice place to stay but the staff lady was so rude. The pool opened for children to swim at 10 was open for adults only 9-10. My daughter tried swiping the card at 9:59 & the desk lady came up to us saying how it wasn’t going to open till 10, I said lady it’s 1 minute before & there was also a man and child swimming already. She said she let them in, so clearly she gives guests she sees fit different treatment than others. Also not enough towels for all the children/people to dry off. Other than that everything else was nice & breakfast actually was decent.

Room for improvement

Customer service at the front desk was lacking. Heaters in the room didn’t work (during quite a cold snap for the coast). Called the front desk and asked to switch to a different room and they sent maintenance to replace both of them. Maintenance guy was nice and did the swap in about 30 minutes but still an inconvenience. Few stains on pillow cases, very slow draining sinks and shower.

The room was great, big, ocean view and jacuzzi tub was awesome. What I didn't like was the bed. To me that is the most important. If you don't go to sleep because your body hurts because its so hard that just ruins the room. I mentioned this to the front desk. She basically said you can't please everyone. Which is true but I like a softer bed and my husband likes a firmer bed but even he couldn't sleep. We ended up buying a pillow top cover from walmart because we still had 1 more night and that helped. Breakfast was better than some places with the choices.
