This property is in sad shape. The staff were great and the bones of the place are good but boy does it need updated and repaired. We couldn't open our slider without 2 people, the pull out sofa was a joke, the carpets were so stained we wouldn't let the grandkids play on the floor. I hope the owners put some money back in to the property to make it worth staying at, until then we won't stay there again

To cap off a challenging stay at the Polynesian, I go to use the oven to cook a frozen pizza for a late dinner. I turn the oven to 400 F and the place fills with smoke. I try to let it burn off and it just keeps burning. I open the oven and something is boiling on the bottom of the oven. It was disgusting. Someone had dripped something all over the bottom of the oven. I then spent the next 30 minutes scrubbing the hotel's oven, just so I could cook a cheese pizza. Sent an email to the GM. Never heard back. This was the final straw on so many issues we had.

We were excited to stay at the Polynesian since we hadn’t been there in quite a few years and had fond memories. But unfortunately this experience was pretty different. The room had lots of stains and was really old. All the floors at the hotel are super old so they creek and you can hear everyone above you. The showers are loud and the doors slam so we didn’t sleep much unfortunately. The bright spot was the pool- our daughter loved the pool.

Gowan at the front desk provided incredible service, so did Doug. Very helpful and considerate. The facilities, however, are horrible. The property was not clean, the overall condition is poor at best. We left our first night and moved elsewhere due to uncleanliness, mosquitoes, and a large spider crawling out of the couch in our room. Other guests were drunk, loud, and obnoxious. The hotel has a strong odor throughout. Curtains are ripped, floors and walls are dingey and damaged. Access to the beach was not available because the dunes had grown over so thick.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The room was wonderful. They accommodated us well because we had to switch rooms the second night because my husband brought our dog and we weren’t originally in a pet friendly room. Got us switched with no problems at all. The one bedroom condo was very spacious and had a full kitchen. My kids loved the pool and spa, and game room. The only issue with the second room was there was no fan or chairs outside on the balcony like the first room. The restaurant right next door isn’t open Sunday afternoon through Tuesday night so that was kind of a bummer, but no big deal really. Overall, very satisfied! Would stay there again.
