Destin vaca

The house is located on a culdesac like setting. Felt very private and safe. If the listing states you must cross the road, I missed that…. Not my fav for young children and the access is not wagon friendly. The beach is that Destin beautiful green water and sand. If you want to reserve chairs close to beach, do it the day before. The recliners (one of the reason we chose this property) aren’t really senior friendly as they swivel and scoot in the tile. The house is WELL stocked with beach and family items! The only true negative was the floors were not very clean and the reason I couldn’t give 5 stars. I would stay again and would recommend. Party of seniors, two adults, and six children.

Incredible stay!

We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 10. Everything you need in a kitchen is provided plus all the beach chairs, towels, and boards. It is a quiet community with a very short walk to the beach. We had a little challenge trying to get the 3rd parking pass but the owner quickly responded and took care of it. Can’t say enough good things about this place! We will be coming back!

Just as described. 2 min from the beach. Having 3 floors allowed kids to have personal space and adults as well. Great safe neighborhood. Thor was quick to respond when I had a question. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Wonderful stay at DESTINation

Property was just as pictured. We really enjoyed our time staying here. Very close to the beach, stores and restaurants. Property owner called to check in on us for internet problems and was very accommodating. Loved staying here and would stay here again!

Great family location!

The house’s location is super convenient! Only a couple minutes walk to the private beach made it easy even with two toddlers. The pool is nice with bathrooms onsite. The property owners were extremely easy to work with/get in contact with and responded quickly to our minor WiFi issue. The fitness facility is tiny, and not really usable aside from cardio equipment for any sort of movement. The only thing we didn’t realize (which seems to be the entire beach) is how picky these private beaches are. The companies set their chairs up and you’re not allowed to move them, you can’t set up in front of them, and you can’t bring your own canopies (umbrellas only). BUT the host does prepay for 2 complimentary chairs and an umbrella, so we were still able to pick a spot and have room for the kiddos to play.

Amazing stay!!

We have been staying in the Beach Retreat Community for nearly 20 years! We absolutely love this particular beach cottage! We have stayed in it a few times! The owners have thought of everything from beach chairs, toys, fans (the AC works great) extra blankets, beach towels, tables, chairs and a fully stocked kitchen!! The list goes on!! We will definitely stay again!! Thank you, Thor & Deborah!

Great house in perfect location

We have stayed at Beach Retreat condos and the cottages several times. This is the best home we have stayed in. Had plenty of room and all the amenities you could need. Very clean and well maintained!

Wonderful property and location to the beach & pool!

Very clean and organized property! They have thought of everything you could possibly need. Beach chairs/umbrellas/beach toys for kids!! Only suggestion I would make is you do not need to purchase a parking spot at the pool because this property is right across from the pool. Owner took care of a small issue promptly! Would love to return again!! Highly recommend!!

Rent It; You Won't Regret It!

The pictures don't do this place justice, which easily accommodated our family of eight adults and four small children. The bedrooms were spacious (including the bunkroom, which is large enough for an adult(s)) and equipped with remote-controlled ceiling fans for individual comfort. You could see the Gulf from the third-floor living room and balcony. This rental is in a prime location, as it's the second house at Cottage Retreat. The walk to the beach was short, with the beach access located directly across the street from the entrance to Beach Retreat/Cottage Retreat. The pool's located just across the street from the rental and never felt overcrowded, even on days when there were double-red flags, and most people avoided the beach. You can purchase additional parking spots in front of the clubhouse, which is situated between the rental and the pool. Anyone parking there felt like they were still parking directly in front of the rental itself. We all loved staying here.

Family vacation

This was our first time in Destin, FL. We were a family of 9 adults and 1 infant. We were so pleased with the location. Short walk to the beach, easy access to the pool. Short drive to a grocery store. We had four vehicles - 2 spaces at the unit and 2 that we rented - all close to the unit. The host was very attentive and prompt in answering any questions we might have. The unit was well equipped with plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

New Years family trip

We had a tremendous trip! Wonderful accommodations for all, and the home was very well equipped for our stay. The location was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, the beach was less than two minutes to walk to, plenty of beach towels and chairs, fun games to play at the house, everything so clean, and the hosts were always attentive and so quick to reply when we had an inquiry about anything. We were so pleased, and would absolutely stay again!! Thank you to Thor and Deb, amazing!!

This was the best! The kitchen was well stock as was the supply closet for outdoors. We wanted for nothing. There was never a point that anyone said, “I wish we had….” And so close to the beach. If you are thinking about renting this property, think no longer. Just do it, you won’t be sorry

Awesome Property
