People smoking at the front door. Disgusting! We arrived late at night. We were told Valet parking was first come first served. We had to park across the street from where we were staying. Pool ice cold. Would I stay here again? I seriously need to think about it.

This property is located within an old, historic post office bldg. which was odd in and of itself. There is no parking available, which means valet is the only option. The staff was friendly and professional. Personally, this would not be my choice of hotel when in St. Paul the next time.

Bunch of road construction getting to the property from the South. Once we got close, it was easy to get to but not a lot of drop off space out front. There is no free parking available so plan on adding $30-$40 to your stay if you’re comparing a stay that has free parking. The room was typical, but the AC fan was broken and provided a consistent “white noise” for us to sleep to. The temperature of the room in early Fall was fine, thank goodness. The bathroom was supplied but a shower cap would have been a nice cheap “extra.” The staff was friendly enough… but not much eye contact or smiles so it didn’t feel super welcoming.

Excellent stay in St. Paul

Location was perfect for us - we were traveling via Amtrak and the station is a block away. Hotel is located in a spectacular art deco structure with 16 foot ceilings and spacious rooms. Staff was very attentive to our needs.
