We've stayed at this hotel many times because we love it -- it's a beautiful property with tons of art & history, SUPER helpful & kind staff, reasonable prices, unique rooms, & an ideal location for downtown St. Paul restaurants, theatres, and sports. The bar has great cocktails, the rooms have these cute wall cabinets with an ice bucket and two snifter-style glasses, there's a light rail station within a block, and the breakfast area is in the old chapel, which has gorgeous high ceilings and stained glass windows. The art in the building is everywhere, and super interesting; a must-see is the painting in the hallway behind the bar that leads to the restrooms and indicates which way the ladies' and gents' are, I SWEAR it's based upon the actor John Heard. Give this one a try and you'll love it as much as we do!
