This experience was just terrible. The hotel is older, and it has a really bad odor when you walk in. The man at the desk took three phone calls before even greeting us. The room at first glance seemed clean. However, hair in the bathtub, sink, cigarette holes in the comforter, there was food and drinks in the mini fridge left from a previous guest. When checking out the girl at the desk couldn’t be bothered to look up or even be courteous. Overall very unimpressive and I felt bad bringing my kids to stay here.

Under no circumstances should anyone stay at this hotel. I used to regularly stay here when I would return to Minnesota. It has been several years since my last visit and in that time this hotel has deteriorated in almost every aspect. The staff are very unhelpful. Good luck if you need any assistance with anything. The lobby, halls, and rooms smell of cigarette smoke. The breakfast is stale cereal, toast with no working toaster, potatoes that are mushy on the outside and undercooked on the inside, scrambled egg bits, and warm coffee. The elevator barely works and it is near impossible to get it to go to the 4th floor. The north stairwell had some crushed crackers on the carpet during the entire 6 day stay. The jacuzzi in the room had a constant drip which no one could be bothered to look at. It was so disgusting that I was afraid I would catch something if I were to use it. There were handprints on the wall above it. The room had to be Febrezed constantly just to keep the stench at bay. There are zero dressers in the room. There are a couple of shelves and a closet for your clothes or to be safe you can just leave them in your suitcase. There was hot water in the shower but not in the sink. Many fixtures in the room are in some state of disrepair including missing light coverings, missing light bulbs, towel bar barely attached to the wall, cracked sink, etc. The parking lot was constantly full despite barely seeing anyone else in the hotel. So much more but I am at the limit

The building shows it's age and the updates that have been done are nice, but in the big picture, the rest falls short. Every time I stay here, the shower head is not functional ie: low water pressure, broken or taped together. The sheets on one bed were dirty or stained which was pretty obvious. A little more investment and upkeep and this place would be pretty nice again.

We reserved a one bedroom suite, as it was my daughter’s wedding day. Upon arrival, we were told that they didn’t have this room. In fact, they blamed Expedia. As I booked through a third party, I had no recourse. I had no options. They offered a Hot-tub room - which was not what we had reserved. However, it smelled of stale smoke. They offered us a different room, same amenities on the 2nd floor. However, NO elevators worked, on the entire property. So, they plugged in a room freshener. When we went to find ice, no ice machines worked and they sent someone out to get ice. We did get some ice The next AM the police were questioning folks in the hallway. (Which is honestly not the hotels issue) the room was clean. Breakfast as as expected. (You know) Upon checkout, my husband waited for 10+ minutes to be acknowledged by the one front desk attendant, as she was on the phone. He simply wanted a receipt. Whereby, he was told they couldn’t give us a receipt, as we booked through a third party. (I mean, sure, that was true, but, to antagonize us further was sort of ridiculous and unnecessary) Wow, we travel the world and this was the worst experience we’ve had. So avoid this property. The holiday inn is across the street. I would have stayed there, but we stayed there for my youngest daughter’s funeral a year ago- and it was too much for me to stay agin. And that is the unfortunate truth.
