Chateau de Bourron is a lovely property within easy driving distance of charming villages, restaurants, local shops, and of course, Fontainebleau Chateau. The castle hotel is charming, warm, and inviting, and so quiet, it’s as if you’re miles from anywhere. We had a wonderful week of enjoying the countryside and returning to a fabulous castle hotel with all the comforts of home. Highly recommend for couples, families, and special occasions!!

We stayed in the auxiliary building, the Maison d’Artagnan, in a beautifully appointed “comfort” room. Breakfast, which was delicious, was in the chateau itself. In our room there was a booklet that included a description of the history of the chateau, as well as recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to do. A wonderful weekend stay at Chateau de Bourron. Our hosts made us feel very welcome at their wonderful family run property. We very much enjoyed staying in a grand room and exploring the hidden treasures in the grounds of the estate. We also met the owner/chef of the Michelin starred restaurant located in the old estate stables, and dining at ‘Les Premices’ was a marvellous gastronomic experience. Located just 10 minutes from Fontainebleau, this was an excellent experience and is highly recommended.
