Time Hasn’t Been Kind to this Hotel

I can see that the hotel was once nice, but it has been a long time since then. Very old, very outdated. The rust in my bathtub told a story of decades of neglect. It’s fine if you can get a deal, but it’s not worth much.

The room was spacious and reasonably priced. Jus beware there are 2 buildings, we had 2 reoms booked and were not told they are in separate buildings. Yes, there was an information sheet given to us at the time of check-in but we didn't read it until after we couldn't find one of the rooms. Breakfast was good. Pool is a little small with lots of kids- not built for swimming.

The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful the room was far from clean heating didn’t work people in rooms around ours slamming doors day and night and being noisy and inconsiderate. We stayed here in February 2025 and didn’t have a problem but definitely gone down hill and will not be staying here again!!!

Comfortable, Great Seervice and Friendly

From the first moment, service was friendly and efficient. Check-in was seamless. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. The sink was separate to the bathroom, with no door to the sink area. Breakfast was great. Evening meals were very good, although there was a hiccup with our dessert (mudcake) coming 3/4 frozen after a long period of time. The bar staff were tardy in coming to customers waiting to be seated. All in all a great place and we would come again.

Our check in was disastrous. There was 3 couples and we were told our room was ready and we went for a stroll upon our rerun we were told 1 room wasn’t ready we were waiting till 4pm for a room to become available. The guy that served us wasn’t friendly or accommodating.

Overall experience

It was overall 3/5 because we were handled by an intern who had limited knowledge with luggage and the facilities of the hotel. It is understandable, however I do think there should be a senior member to accompany interns for providing consistent excellent customer service to all clients. In addition, there were consistent construction going on just outside the hotel, we were woken up before 7am and interrupted our sleep at night time as well (not even sure why there were construction noise after 8pm).

The room was a bit dated, but it was spacious. Its location was great—close to everything, which was a big plus. The only downside was that the air conditioning didn’t work properly. We kept waking up because it was so cold. When we asked for assistance, they did help, but their response felt somewhat dismissive.
