Rooms and showers were clean. The gym is terrible, very run down, sauna is warm not hot. Treadmill is dangerously jarring when in use, cross trainer sounds like it's going to break. If you're after good facilities, don't come here. If you just want a simple clean room, this is fine.

This hotel was close to the Shrine of Remembrance tram stop, so it was easy to get around without a car. Its an easy walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance. It was handy having a kitchenette and there's a grocery store right around the corner. It's an older place but secure and safe.

Good location and that’s it

Pros: location. Cons: 4.5 stars property but is not even close to 3. Despite this place needs renovation there much more to work on service and equipment inside the rooms. Upon check in, room that we got keys to, was not cleaned after previous guests. We got another room that was allegedly cleaned in fact had just beds made. Stains from chocolate and coffee on the kitchenette floor, sticky counters and tables, dirty door and sticky door handles, room heating not working, phone not working, TV remote not working, broken hair dryer, malfunctioning kettle, dirty carpets, dirty walls, used hair caps in the washroom drawer, awful bathtub, moldy silicone/caulking around the washroom sink and bathtub. Thermostat on the wall was broken and unable to control settings. Service desk was trying to help and eventually after one night we moved to new room which seemed clean and had equipment in working condition. Towels were not white, need replacement. We did not used pool or sauna so have no opinion on condition or quality. Mixed feelings after all. Not a 4.5 star hotel for sure. Few pictures attached.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is comfortable spacious and well furnished. It was also centrally located. Our initial impression at night was that the place was “old but good”. It had an 80s aesthetic, old carpet and yellowish lights. However in the morning it was a bright spacious warm and comfortable. After 3 nights we felt that this was excellent value. We had to pay $25 a night for the car park and it was easy to access from a side lane. When we went to the city we took advantage of early bird parking at the NGV. (Even though it was close we didn’t have MYKI cards)
