Room was the size of a dog box. Shower pressure poor and hot water was only like warm. Very disappointed as had booked months before with friends and they got bumped to another hotel the day before trip. Ruined our itinerary as they were now 1/2 hour from us. Will probably never stay here again in case this happens once more. Happy to take $ then say overbooked and we have moved you. Thanks for your understanding. No understanding just anger. Room size tiny. Shower pressure very and hot water was only lukewarm

We got bumped from Batman on Collins to an other hotel. I received an email 24hrs before asking me to ring the hotel because we had been moved. I rang them & was told maintenance issues. We had booked this hotel along with our friends 5 months earlier because we were attending a concert & wanted to stay in the same hotel. They weren't moved. We had booked because of location, opposite Southern Cross. We were moved to Ibis on Therry St 30 minutes walk away. We overhead at the Ibis that Batman Hill knew they were overbooked the weekend before!!! Ibis staff were lovely & we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment but it wasn't the location we had chosen & paid for.

I stayed here in a studio apartment last week and a much bigger apartment this week. It was huge and very comfortable for our family of 4 - 2 x young adult daughters. The proximity to Marvel stadium is fantastic!

In general, we had a good experience. However, there is too much noise coming from the pipes when showers are used in other rooms. Not a good thing when you are trying too sleep late.

Nice Hotel, Staff were pretty good. Location was perfect for our needs. Biggest complaint was the room had no windows. It had a skylight that was blacked out. The room itself was neat and tidy but I feel if you’re offering a room that varies from normal expectations you should highlight it to the customer.

I remember this hotel from the early 60’s as it and the Savoy were favourites back then with western district residents looking for affordable overnight accommodation in the big smoke! vast improvements since but still relatively modest and affordable
