"We stayed in the dream sickle suite with the pool directly in front of our room. The rooms location felt secluded, like we had our own privet pool (it was shared). Loved it. The staff was great responding to anything we needed right away and friendly."

"The resort was beautiful and very well kept, both the grounds (including beach and pool area), and the rooms! Maid service everyday with fresh towels, trash disposal, made beds, filling up water jugs, sweep, mop… the works! We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. The full kitchen was a great option for cooking a few dinners when we didn’t want to go out. The restaurant Casa De Maize was delicious, everything we tried was amazing! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating as well! You can tell that everyone who works there takes pride in their job and wants everyone to have a great experience! They can arrange shuttle rides into town, or to the store for a small fee, or there is a free daily shuttle that goes into Placencia as well. The swim up bar is a fun option for drinks, or you can make your own and bring them to the pool ( just bring a yeti cup). The pool is right on the beach and they work hard to keep it in good shape. There was seaweed while we were there, but they do their best to keep it to a minimum on the shore. The lagoon side is really beautiful as well (that is where the restaurant is) my son bought a fishing pole in town and enjoyed fishing off the dock there and the pier on the ocean side. There is also a little fire roasted pizza place by the pool to get food as well. You can charge things to your room which is nice. All in all we had an awesome time at the Umaya resort and would highly recommend staying here!!!!"

"Overall our rental was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking, fishing and snorkeling. Karl the groundskeeper is attentive and goes above and beyond. For example, my husband asked about the coconuts lying around the property. Something as simple as “ do these coconuts have water inside the shell. After our hike, Karl had prepared two coconuts for us on the counter. We got to taste the coconut water and eat the coconut without having to crack them open ourselves. The entire experience was amazing."

"My family of 6 had the most amazing time at Agua Villa! We stayed for a week, and so appreciated the relaxation of being on the beach with a great breeze and our very own beautiful pool. The Adirondack chairs under the palapa and hammock were favorites, along with games at the outdoor dining table. Loved taking the Kayak out, too!The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our crew, especially the separate quarters for the master. The kitchen was everything we needed, but there were also tons of restaurant options very nearby both by walking, driving, or using the bikes provided. We felt so at home there, and we'd go back in a heartbeat. It was such a great place for kids and adults, and the communication made it all easy!"

"Absolutely beautiful property right on the lagoon. Inside and out it's clear the owners take great care of everything. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and I have only positive things to say. Plus the beds were so comfy! And there were so many small details that really make a stay so much easier - toiletries, plenty of soft towels, bathrobes, sunscreen, bugspray, even sunglasses! And the kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of dishes and basic kitchen stables. As far as the outside, the pool was so appreciated with the heat and the view so pretty. Anthony from their team was on site nearly everyday and was a gem making sure that the pool was immaculate and any question we had he was so helpful. We also really appreciated the fishing poles and fun fishing right off the dock every day. We were even able to make use of the bikes one day. If you want to splurge, ask their private cook Ida...she made us several meals and they were outstanding, highly recommend! And communication with owner Heather and team were great, right down to a very economical recommendation for our transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay. Definitely don't hesitate on this property!"
