Our stay at Eastwood Richmonde fell short of expectations for a 4‑star property. The Wi‑Fi was unreliable, and the lift often force shut, which caused some discomfort. For three out of the four days we were there, the hot water did not work, even after an “engineer” tried to fix it. Unfortunately, the issue was never resolved.
The air conditioning did not cool properly, and the gym facilities were quite disappointing. Many machines lacked proper pins, and the equipment appeared outdated. A full refurbishment of the fitness area would be a great improvement.
We also experienced repeated issues with the room key cards, which staff explained could demagnetize easily, requiring several trips to the concierge. The hallways were extremely warm, and the lifts were very slow, making it inconvenient for guests staying on higher floors.
The only positive aspect was the hotel’s proximity to dining areas, which was very handy, and the staff were polite.
Overall, the hotel did not live up to 4‑star standards, and there are several areas that need serious attention. Until improvements are made, I would recommend booking elsewhere.
