Overall good hotel except some improvements needed

Overall, my experience was good. However, I had some concerns regarding the drinking water provided in the refillable glass flask. I felt a bit uncomfortable with this arrangement. It raised questions for me about how the hotel ensures that housekeeping staff follow strict hygiene standards and whether the flasks are thoroughly cleaned before being refilled. Unless the water is replaced daily with a sealed container, I personally find this method potentially unsafe. I would prefer to receive a sealed bottle of water each day, and I’m happy to top it up myself if needed. Another point I'd like to highlight is the lighting in the bathroom area. I usually prefer to leave the pathway light on at night, but in this room, there wasn't an option to switch on only the pathway —only the entire room light could be turned on or off. I believe this could be improved for better convenience.

We were put in an adjoining room and were called at 9 pm to keep the noise down even though we were only talking beside each other in bed and had the tv on a low level.absolutely ridiculous for the over 300 dollars a night we paid.Club lounge was very sparse in their offerings.The Sunday breakfast was very good in their restaurant

This is an old hotel so looking at the outside, one can see the deterioration...but it still looks okay. The inside is a different story as it does fulfil its 5 Star rating. The location of the Dusit Thani is what makes this hotel a winner as it is less than a hundred yards from a mall entrance (which of course connects one with all the other mall buildings in the area. Since its not in the middle of the malls...one can get grabs and cabs a lot easier.

Dusit Expedia review For the last two years since 2023 since I started visiting the Philippines, I utilized Dusit Thani in Makati as a place to stay while in Manila. Our stays have been ok until this year when I stayed three separate times in the last couple of months Apr- May 2025. The first time this year in Apr 3-11, 2025, I stayed for 10 days (booked through Expedia), and upon checking in I was asked to pay a deposit of 24,000 pesos (approx $440). Upon checkout I asked for a settlement receipt and I was told they don’t issue a receipt on deposits. The reason I asked for one is because the deposit was still a pending charge on my c/c and they said it will take at least two weeks to settle and reverse the charge on my credit card. The next time we stayed for 2 nights, I asked about the deposit from our last stay and they said it was still in process, maybe the reason why they said they’re waiving the deposit this time is because my last deposit is still hasn’t been settled. When we checked in and went up to the room, they immediately emptied the minibar in our room, and I found out it’s because I didn’t have a security deposit for that stay. I asked why they did that and they said that is because I didn’t have a deposit and it’s a standard protocol. I felt insulted a little bit because I felt they didn’t trust a repeat customer, that I would consume the items in the minibar without paying them. They insisted that they do it to everyone and it’s a standard procedu

Great location, excellent service but the property can use updating. The water in the shower came out brown for a while. Carpet is dirty and the room smelled old. However, this is located in the heart of Makati and the customer service is excellent!

They have a couple of little meow meows here

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Check in at reception was with a dude called Christian who was a very nice and helpful chap. To be honest, they were all nice but I don't know all their names. Rooms were all decent sized and it's only about 20 mins away from the airport. The best thing is that they have a couple of resident meow meows who live in the garden at the back of the hotel.
