Historical hotel nicely renovated.Both enterior and exterior of the building are truly memorable.Comfortable rooms in most central location in Manchester.Breakfast is substantial and all food of high standard. Bar staff could be overwhelmed sometimes so waiting times could be long.Waiting staff is very hospitable and attentive.Micah customer service is memorable. Spa experience was bit awkward because spa is run by different company and there is miscommunication between the hotel and spa resulting in awkward encounter at the spa reception. There is a major Tram station outside of hotel, therefore if you staying in the left wing of the hotel you will have problems with noise and vibration coming from Trans,ask for room in the right wing of the building. All in all memorable stay and I would come back again.

Staff very pleasant and service good. Hotel reception, bar area are done to a great standard. Bathroom in bedroom need some improvement i.e. shower didn't work very well (shower head didn't stay attached to the holder). Breakfast food was lukewarm.

It felt great to walk into one of Manchesters most iconic, grand hotels. It felt warm and welcoming on arrival. It is clear it has undergone a recent renovation whilst paying homage to its history. The executive room was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.
