Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Friendly staff, probably the busiest I have seen the hotel during this visit which is not surprising considering the great snow from the recent storms. Unfortunately the renovations are still slowly progressing, which meant no pool or hot tub access, really wish they were able to finish that by now. The steam room and sauna were available however the sauna did not seem to be working properly. The steam room worked well after letting it warm up for about 20 minutes. Overall another nice visit and still one of my favorite places to stay for short snowboard trips. Great value for the price and close proximity to the mountain.

The rooms and property haven’t been updated or even looked after in years. The pool is “being redone” for two years now. Restroom ceiling has mold and paint is coming off. Only reason to stay here is that there is no other similar alternative and that’s probably why they don’t care about maintenance

the property has been under re-building (pool area) for months if not years, which makes the sauna area unpleasant to use. Checking-in was a mess. Our room was filthy and have not been cleaned. Looks like no one had been checking anything. Bad experience, and because we used Expedia they refused to provide any kind of refund or credit. Which makes me wonder also why to use Expedia at all in the future

Rooms are dated but spacious, and the hot tub and pool are currently unavailable due to remodeling. Staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast was good. Location is excellent, and easy access to the free bus system to get to the mountain and around town. Miss a good soak in the hot tub after a day of riding, but still good value for money in the interim!
