Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. The hotel is undergoing renovations or repairs. There are no signs anywhere and it looks like its under construction from the outside. The included breakfast looked awful so I went to a nearby restaurant.

Shilo is conveniently located and the staff are terrific! The property is undergoing a complete renovation and we look forward to returning to see the result. In the meantime, stay as warm, friendly and helpful as you are!

Upon pulling in, hotel looked closed, lots of construction materials scattered around, hallways are dark and hotel in general is very dated. Room space is better than expected and staff was fine.

Propery has been under renovation and pr new ownership for the past year. Pool has been closed, driveway is busted up and rough, bathroom has drywall patching, and the place is in desperate need of renovation asap.

The check inn was fast and nice front desk lady. The property was in construction so was a lit bit difficult to find as it did not have the street number or the hotel name went we arrive, Even tho it was in renovation; there was nice quite room. I guess the only thing i will change is the carpet it was with stains and duty. The rest was clean.

Crusty Carpets

I think they really should just bulldoze the places and start again. By far the worst thing was the carpets. The room carpet was old and stained but the hallway was indescribable. Solid crusty stain. Moving to the breakfast. The scrambled eggs had orange stripes. Very scary. I do not need perfection but this was horrible.

* Spacious room * Limited breakfast * Ordinary ambience * Onsite Parking * No water filling station Visited on July 4, 2025. The hotel was under renovation and swimming pool was closed. We paid a little more than $300 - seems costly compared to the amenities.
