It was okay

Really struggled to get the heat to maintain the entire stay. We only really slept there as we were on the mountain all day. But it was very cold at night and the pull out mattress was awful and very uncomfortable. Plus side- close drive to the mountain and restaurants. Wouldn’t stay again due to heat issues, bedding uncomfortable, and just felt too expensive to be that far from the mountain.

Great Dog Friendly Place

Great place to have a dog as there is lots of grass both out the front and back doors. And a nice walking area by the stream. The kitchen is smaller than it looks in the picture but well stocked. If you like a firm bed you will be OK but it was too hard for me. The hideaway bed was uncomfortable, as expected. Great location, we enjoyed our stay.

Cosy apartment in well maintained grounds

Pros: Recently repainted and partly modernized. Easy communication with host. Well maintained grounds. Nice walk in the meadow on the grounds (approx 1 mile) Cons: Downstairs unit and therefore can be a little noisy, like footsteps from upstairs, early alarm wakeup from upstairs (5:30am) and late Saturday night music (after midnight). Frankly, I admire their stamina, but I'm too old for that. The kitchen is modernized but the bathroom is dated and showing it. Only given those little soap bars in plastic wrap, good for a couple of days but you'll need more soap etc for longer stays.

Great location and a great cabin for a family!

My wife and I enjoyed this cabin for a 3 night getaway. We had our 2 yr old son and the cabin was excellent for skiing during the day, going to the Village and relaxing at the cabin at night. Everything was clean, in good shape and the back door opens up to a large area that was covered in snow. The only concern we had was the backdoor didnt lock, and the reinforcement bar being used looked damaged therefore the door remained unlocked. We called the property management and they ensured they would fix it before the next guests arrived. Great weekend and would very much return to this location.

Ok, Yes the listing states the place accommodations are for 4 people which is what we had. But there are 4 drinking glasses total. 4 pots and or pans with only one lid for everything. Coffee cups=4. Plates ... you get the picture. Just the bare minimum of everything. additional charge for linens. That only shows up in final bill.... that gets you 2 full size bath towels, 4 hand towels and 2 wash cloths. Early 90’s wall paper in bathroom that is peaking off the walls. Place to me seams like all original construction.. please spend just a few dollars and update something! Buy a new toaster that does not burn the bread every time no matter the setting. Slider glass door... opens half way and then my wife was not strong enough to open the rest of the way. Good stuff??? Snow creek is an awesome place to stay. Very few places allow dogs so we are thankful we could bring our dog with us. Please... you make great money from renting the place out... spend a few bucks and make it worth the price.

Disappointing

I would not recommend this unit. You are required to call office immediately to report problems. So I reported: dog stains on carpet. One was 16” circumference. Broken screen door which fell on us. Sliding doors didn’t lock. Several dining chairs were shaky due to loose crossbars. Couldn’t use those. Large stove burner broken. Lights under cabinets broken. Counter tops have holes in areas. Coffee maker broken. Track lighting missing several lights which were shown in ad. So no lights in livingroom. No smoke alarm. Bedroom TV didn’t work properly and no operating instructions. Beware of dining area photo. There is only one sliding door. The second one shown is a mirrored reflection of the first door. I would give it several stars for location and zero stars for the unit. What a dump.

Mammoth fun

Was a little scared to rent this property due to the reviews. Yes, it’s a little dated, but was perfect for our family to enjoy the mountain and surrounding areas. Our dog especially loved walking along the creek.

Okay but don't expect much

Pros: -Location in the community is good, close to the parking, close to a nice meadow, downstairs so easy in and out. -Bed was not bad Cons: The same issues you see on other reviews still exist. Clearly even though you see "you should have told us" no one really thinks they are worth fixing (and maybe they are not). - Multiple light bulbs out so a dark unit is even darker -Screen door broken -Door lock to patio broken so they install a strange pole to keep it closed -Multiple chairs broken but gently put back together so each person gets the sensation of "breaking it" for themselves -Fan in bathroom is downright scary. After the first shower I opted to skip and just leave the door open but this might be issue for others with fellow travelers. By the look of the walls I suspect most people close the door and let it steam up Personal frustration: I checked out a day early, cleaned up, took out the trash, loaded the dishwasher and went to drop off the keys at the rental office (15 min drive on the way out of town). Realized when I got there I forgot to turn on the dishwasher. I told the clerk and she informed me I needed to drive back and turn it on or I was going to lose some of my deposit. My issue but when I was giving up the place early (not like I was staying to kick out time) to have to spend 30 min driving there and back seemed really dumb. It just seems like a place where the actual owner never stays. Having rented too many places in Mammoth it seems to show when the family that owns it uses it. All this stuff is nit-picky and if you need a place and the price is right it is fine. I don't think my wife would have felt the same though if she had gone with me.

Lovely location, substandard condo

We have stayed for years at snowcreek in other units. We chose this one based on location but ended up leaving one day early due to the dirty carpets old sheets and dusty bedspread , no lamps bright enough to read by and feeling terribly uncomfortable-on vacation no less! I implore this owner to spend some money replacing carpet at least and updating this place. We felt we had rented a gopher hole. Take our advice look elsewhere! Never again.

The positives: good location (5 minute drive to Eagle Lodge), well laid out unit. The negatives: lack of basic kitchen amenities, stove burners not in working condition, batteries in thermostat were dead so we spent the first night in a very cold unit, the cable receiver on the TV was not in working order when we arrived so we spent 20 minutes troubleshooting it to get it to work (you're welcome). Property management, Mammoth reservations, were notified of all of the above but were unable to address them during our stay due to heavy winter conditions at other units. That being said, I did reach out to the owner via email on the second night of our stay and never heard back. There are plenty of other places in town!

Great location and good amenities

The snowcreek location is close to everything.. The property was large for a one bedroom and accommodated us nicely.. To be a bit critical, the interior could have used a bit of updating. There were some lights that were out, screws in the walls where things used to be, and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. The only real issue was that the coat rack by the front door rips out of the wall when you put one coat on it. We had lots of coats.. Other than these small items that could use attention (I informed property manager) it was a great place and I would surely stay at this same place again.
