"This is a modern boutique hotel located in the bottom end of the Valletta peninsula. It is relatively new (2 years old) spread over five or six floors with a small number of rooms on each floor. The hotel is reached from the road by walking down steep steps to the far end of an alleyway - don’t expect taxi drivers or staff to carry your bags. Breakfast is part of the deal but the quality and range of foods on offer is not extensive. Coffee comes from a capsule machine and juice is not freshly squeezed. Cooked breakfast is eggs, beans, sausages and bacon. The cereal selection is simple. The room had a king sized bed and good aircon- the bathroom had a good shower/bath with plenty of hot water but the basin was a strange design which meant wet shaving was a challenge. The in-room safe was not attached to anything so presumably could have been carried out (it wasn’t). On the roof is a plunge pool with loungers and a bar so it is possible to get away from the hubbub of Valletta and chill. The best bit about the hotel was its location within walking distance of everything that Valletta had to offer. The staff were attentive and helpful. Thursday nights the mother hotel around the corner offers a local food dinner plus drink which was worthwhile."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Gormerino Hotel. It was well located and the view from the bar and pool on the top floor was amazing. That said, the hotel is a little tired and in need of a spruce up. But all in all a great place to stay for a city break in Valletta."

"A basic hotel in a very quiet part of southern Malta with a view of the container port, fairly nice neighbourhood but not recommended for families as not much amenities in the area but ideal if you like a very quiet place to stay, parking was limited during the evening due to local residents using parking spaces, but there is an EV charge point opposite the hotel, the hotel owners were very friendly and helpful, this hotel is reasonably modern but probably best for business use rather than a holiday."

"The property is old and needs renovation , it’s ideally located for visiting Valletta but not for people who have issues climbing stairs as there are lots outside . For a 5 star property the check in was not good as we were not informed of the free shuttle they provide nor the sauna , steam room costs which we found out later that the indoor pool is free but the spa is run privately and change 15 euros to use the sauna unless your having a spa treatment ."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, especially with the beautiful waterfront view from the balcony. It was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The room was comfortable, clean, and served its purpose well. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions we had. The hotel offered free Wi-Fi, which was appreciated, but it was a bit annoying that we had to log in again every time our phone locked or disconnected. It wasn't a major issue, but it could definitely be more convenient. The only downside was the complimentary breakfast. After trying it on the first day, we decided not to use it again as the quality was disappointing. The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal, making it easy to visit Valetta and other nearby destinations. It was also a short and inexpensive Uber ride to other cities and attractions in the area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent location, beautiful views, convenient access to transportation, and outstanding staff."

"All the facilities we tried - the pool, breakfast, were great. The staff were great although, on occasions, a little difficult to understand. But this didn't detract from our visit. The only two small reservations we had were: - the size of the Executive room - Room 227 - which was a little small for moving around. However, your very helpful Neville showed us some alternative Executive Rooms that are larger and we will aim to have one of these on our next stay. - the evening menu in the restaurant appeared to us to be a little unimaginative. Otherwise a lovely though short stay on this occasion:o)"
