Great location

Location was great, close to the train station and transit, and in the evening lots of restaurants nearby. A great place to connect to the other sights of Madrid - check-in was really easy, was able to drop our luggage off early. Overall, would consider staying here again. Without a railing on the loft, was definitely hesitant for my 6 yo to go up there much, but worked great for my older kiddo. The sofa bed was pretty comfortable. There is quite a bit of noise from other residents entering/leaving the building - didn't bother me much, but my kiddo had a hard time with some of the later comings/goings of the other residents. Host was really responsive with questions and trouble-shooting.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Not what it looks like

The property was in a not so safe neighborhood. The building had strange tenants, and a weird movement of people coming in and out. It was very evident that the front door had been kicked in and broken into at some point. The frame of the door was cracked and the hallways were very dirty. The loft was neglected, wallpaper falling off and stains on the walls. Hair in the bathroom and the toilet was dirty. Overall the apartment that we encountered was not at all the one sold to us in photos. Communication with the owner was basically none, we had to leave and go somewhere else because the situation was just not safe especially since event hough the front door had a lock the frame was broken and it was clear someone can just bust the door open and take things when you're not there.
