The hotel itself was excellent — very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The facilities and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. However, I felt that the staff could improve in terms of attentiveness and friendliness. A bit more professionalism and warmth from the team would make the experience truly five-star. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back once service improves.

We had a very nice time. Traveling for business but with our dog, which worked out well. The room was large and well equipped, and quiet. The offering at dinner and breakfast was limited even though the hotel was packed and busy. Overall a very good stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Resort - Acadia, over the July 4th weekend! From check-in to checkout, every moment was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-appointed, offering both comfort and charm. We enjoyed the pool area and waterfront dining—truly the perfect way to unwind after exploring the park. The breakfast was delicious, and the service throughout was consistently top-notch. The fireworks over the harbor made the weekend unforgettable. The resort’s location is unbeatable—walkable to the Frenchman Bay with breathtaking sunrise and sunset views and just minutes from Acadia National Park. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Bar Harbor—it’s the perfect blend of relaxation, scenery, and genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

I usually do not leave a bad review. But for the amount we paid to stay here . I was expecting a room in the main hotel . Instead we were in a room overlooking a tennis court . I thought our room was extremely overpriced, and without a view of any kind. I would definitely not stay here again . In fact there are many other options in Bar Harbor area . That would be a much better choice

Beautiful property right on the water. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. Newly renovated. The bathrooms are still a bit dated, but that was the only negative. If the bathrooms were updated it would be one of the top hotels in the area. There is a shuttle that goes into town regularly. Short drive to Acadia. Would definitely stay again.
