We loved this property! The room was so nice, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. The hotel has been recently renovated and was gorgeous. The landscaping was beautiful, the food delish, the service was fanatic.

Make sure they arnt still under construction

Well since they called us a few hours before we arrived from a 5 1/2 hour car ride to let us know they switched us to a diff. Hotel because they were under construction can’t really base off the actual hotel was which they should have let us know when booked or before the day of. It was very stressful and was charged more money and told it was a better resort and fees were more….not my problem or my choice. They did offer a free breakfast which we could care less about. Then I believe her name was Maria called and kept telling me I should be happy to be at a better hotel closer to everything….if I wanted that I would have booked it in the first place. Originally booked a suite with king bed and bunk beds and at the new hotel had two queens cause they couldn’t accommodate a suite, overall tried to make best of it but was a awful weekend and I have been to Bar Harbor about 15+ times and never had such a bad experience… customer service was lacking on both hotels and after this wouldn’t stay at either nor would I recommend to anyone else. I don’t usually complain but cried all the way home on how bad of a weekend we had. Harborside was where they put us and although is a beautiful hotel it was not what I chose nor wanted to stay and both acted like we should be grateful to them for inconveniencing us and charging more money. I have a girl and boy teenager and 2 queen beds doesn’t work for us what Teens want to share a bed with bro/sis so my husband and I had to share with kid.

This was absolutely the BEST hotel experience we’ve ever had! The staff were so kind! Victor, the doorman greeted us with a smile every morning and evening. The desk gals were amazing. Ewan the bartender was so pleasant. We will be back! Beautiful area!

It was still under renovation (also changing over from a Regency to the Holiday Inn) when we were there so it was messy, had a lot of areas closed off and not functioning, and random work equipment everywhere. We didn’t even have a typical free coffee station for the first two days there… Also, another guest must have been smoking Pot and our halfway wreaked of it. I reported the smell and to their credit, they did come and use some air fresheners. But I expect security to be more on top of that violation. Otherwise, staff was nice and attentive. Our stay was comfortable. The pool area and hot tub were highlights. I can see it’ll look nice when completed, but not yet during our stay…

Loved this property but they are doing massive renovations which had not been mentioned at all in the listing. Very loud all day long and tools + materials everywhere. I imagine it’ll be stunning once everything is finished but the renovations should’ve been disclosed. Room was a little dirty, stained linens etc. Walls paper thin. But you can’t beat the stunning location. Staff was amazing.
