Though the hotel room is small in size, it has every thing. The breakfast was excellent. First time, we reached to the hotel by walking. It takes 10-8 min from the Luzern Station. Hotel provides a free bus card for the more convenience. Bus Stop is across from the hotel. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and some other restaurants. There is pizza/pasta and bar close to the hotel (across from the gas station) which opens until 11:00 pm. I like the hotel

Excellent choice for an expensive city

Our stay was really nice. My family enjoyed the hotel, the breakfast really tasty and the access to bus stop is close. The shower was excellent. The one thing I dislike was that to rent for a hairdryer ,leaving a deposit of 20 euros. Until here no problem..but when I needed an adapter they did not have it to rent, only to sell (for plus 20,00 euros!!). Luckily I didn't need because the electrical outlet of the TV served without an adapter. Apart from this, everything excellent

My room had all needed infrastructure but it was absolutely no frills. That would be fine, except that the price was so wildly out-of-proportion that I can't give better than a three-star rating

Property staff was amazing. This is a very low and property with very little to no amenities that are no one hotel should have. But we made do with it. The best part was that the bus station is right across the street and there’s a grocery store right next-door. Two very big positives, especially when traveling with kids.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was suitable for a nights stay. I had a terrible sleep due to the air conditioning not being cold enough to cool the room during hot outsides temperatures. I tried to adjust the setting but it made no difference.

Stay away

The shower in the room could not keep temperature but went from scorching to freezing and back again. The air conditioning did not work at all, which is important in the miniature size room. When these issue were pointed out to the people at the front desk, they promised this was going to be looked into, but nothing was fixed during our stay :/

We booked last minute due to a scam air bnb and we were delighted with I is Budget!! I recommend 100% if you just want a clean, helpful, friendly, safe place to enjoy Lucerne from. Yes - the rooms are small and yes you don’t get the luxuries of non-budget hotels but it’s perfect! The price cannot be beaten for what you get. The breakfast is good: healthy, a variety, and plentiful.

Extra charge

The room we booked was small, which I expected, more like a small cabin on a ship. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that when we arrived at about 12.30pm, we were told that luggage storage was full and early access to our room, which was ready, would be 20 Francs. We were caught, and as I was not feeling well, we paid. Other hotels with similar early check-in rules had previously, with good grace, let us into our room early as we have early check outs, in this case 4.30am. My major concern is that we spoke to reception at checkout about a refund of our 20 Francs and I have messaged the hotel twice and they have not responded. The poor customer is my concern with this hotel. As the luggage storage was full, I feel some good customer service to offset this promised option, as given by others, should have been utilised here.
