Outstanding property!

One of the best VRBO bookings we have ever made. The apartment has everything you require and is actually bigger than the pictures make it look.Vinicio and Paola's check-in is very clear and thorough.The apartment's location within the walled city is very close to the eastern Porta Elisa gate, with shopping, cafés, restaurants, churches and piazzas all in easy reach by foot.If you book this location, you will not regret it!!

Nice stay

The apartment is as described. There are 51 steps to get to it. They are not as steep as some others in Lucca and we got used to them after a couple of days. You enter to a large living space with 2 couches, TV, dining table and kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was a great to cook in. It has a dishwasher, washing machine and Lavazza coffee machine.The master bedroom is very large with lots of cupboards for clothing. The second bedroom is a bit smaller with 2 beds that may be joined together.The bathroom is also quite large, but the shower is a bit small. I weigh 90 Kgs and the shower was a bit uncomfortable. A larger person might find it difficult.We did not need the aircon and the heating worked well.The only Negative is that we were charged for the heating, which was not mentioned on the Vrbo listing.

A lovely, well appointed and located apartment

Having stayed many times in apartments in Lucca I have to say that this apartment stands well above lots of others in standard, ambience and comfort. I was aware that it was three floors up, but these are the type of places I like. There was one small issue that cropped up and it was handled very well and courteously by the host family…on a Saturday!! And resolved by the same evening! This was very reassuring and made staying in their apartment even more special! I can highly recommend this accommodation…and I say that biting my lip as I know that will make it harder for me to rebook!!! Grazie Vinicio, Paola and Leonardo!!

Beautiful Accommodation & City

Very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Very central for the beautiful city. Paola was very informative and helpful and explained everything to us beautifully. Lucca is a very good base to explore Tuscany, quieter than Florence and Pisa. The train service was excellent and allowed us to explore. We would love to to come back.

Fantastic experience!

Absolutely loved the space which was nicely updated, very comfortable, and centrally located in Lucca. Hosts were responsive, easy to communicate with, welcoming, well organized and professional. The apartment had a binder of useful info in multiple languages to guide you through the process and provide helpful tourist tips of the area. While not an issue for us it should be noted that there are 3 flights of steps to access the space. We loved Lucca and this particular stay was the highlight of our 2wk trip through Italy. The restaurant right next door had fabulous pizza and pasta, and there were a dozen other great restaurants a very short walk away. Very highly recommended!

WOW, just WOW

From the moment we entered the apartment in Lucca, we knew it was something special. It wasn't just the look of the 3rd floor apartment, it was also the cleanliness, tasteful decor and the pride that the owners had on display. The apartment is in an ideal position, close enough to the main part of town, but in a position where we could hear the beautiful birds in Villa Bottini. Vinicio and Paola are one of the most courteous and organised owners we have dealt with. We had the good fortune to meet Leonardo and this mature, well mannered young man is a credit to his parents. Just wonderful!

From the moment we arrived until we left our stay was perfect! Paola and Leonardo greeted us and gave us a thorough orientation to the unit - even how to make coffee in the moka! The location is ideal- great restaurants, close to a lovely piazza surrounded by cafés, an easy walk (without luggage) to the train station. Near the botanical garden where they were singing opera one evening. The stay was bellísima!

Incredible, once again!

We have stayed in this apartment for two extended stays,. and that speaks for itself! We love the property, the location, the size, and the lovely owners! It is so nice and spacious and clean! It has everything you would need to cook, and we cooked a lot since I have celiac. They even accommodated our super late arrival due to flight delays. I would and hope to stay here again in the future. It is perfect!

Superb-spacious and spotless

This vrbo was beyond our expectations- even better that represented in photos. So many thoughtful ideas make this rental feel like a home. The kitchen is great and there are lots of shops close by if you want to cook. It was very hot weather during our stay but the windows allow a cross draft - the apartment is ideally located to access all sites within the walls and is an easoealj from the train station. (Renters should be aware that there are 3 flights of stairs to enter the apartment.)

Fabulous Apartment

Our family, including two teenage girls, loved staying here. It was lovely to stay inside the wall and the apartment was laid out perfectly for 4 people. We didn’t use the kitchen but the family room and 2 bedrooms were comfortable! Great location, comfortable beds & space for us all when we were there- mostly just slept there. There are steps but it didn’t bother us.

Wonderful Lucca Apartment

This apartment is very spacious and clean. A large living room and kitchen with two bedrooms and a nice big bathroom. There is also air conditioning, which is needed in the summer. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants and a water fountain close by. We would highly recommend the apartment to others. It is located on the top floor, so if you have mobility issues, it could be challenging. Thank you to Vinicio, Paola and Lorenzo for the wonderful stay.

Spacious, well appointed apartment in a great location!

We were welcomed by Paola and her son who helped answer all of our questions and offered tips on parking and restaurants. They also provided a fabulous notebook with recommendations on everything to see and do in the town. The apartment has everything you might possibly need and is incredibly clean and well cared for. You do have to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs - we should have packed lighter! We parked in free parking just outside the city gate but there is pay parking near the apartment. We paid extra ($7€ per day) to use the air conditioning, critical during a heat wave and being on the third floor, and it worked great. The location is wonderful and is walking distance to sites and restaurants. The wall surrounding Lucca has a fabulous tree lined bike path and the town is very bike friendly. We would highly recommend this charming apartment!

Great access in Lucca

Vinicio, Paola, and Leonardo were all exceptionally welcoming. The apartment is in a great location for getting around in Lucca and in getting out of Lucca. We recommend this spacious, well designed and well set up apartment.

Wonderful apartment in beautiful historic town.

Our stay was a wonderful 2 weeks in Lucca. The family was wonderful and helpful with suggestions. The apartment is perfect for a couple or even a family. Clean, well located, and looked out over a nice garden within the historic walled city. It had everything we needed and we cooked many meals here. Some steps up to the top of the building, but worth it. We would move here if we could!

Marvelous apartment, wonderful hosts.

My wife and I loved this apartment in Lucca. It was spacious, well appointed, in a great location. Train station was close enough for us to walk with our luggage. Nice views from the bedroom windows. Wish we could have spent more time in this apartment.
