You get what you pay for or don't pay for.

The people were very nice, but the hotel was run down. No elevator. The rooms were split between a couple of buildings and you needed an electronic code to enter your room (once you found your room) which didn't work until the 5th time. The public hotel bathroom was on the 2nd floor and looked like the trash had not been emptied for days.

Staff and location were great. Room was cozy but the furniture was old and beat up. Stains on the curtains and the floor was very sticky in the room and bathroom from too much soap during mopping. Ac unit was super old, rattled alot anytime it came on and desperately needed a new filter. The main thing that I disliked was there are no deadbolts on the doors. It's literally a key that opens a door handle lock then an old chain lock from the inside. Not very safe at all. Def need to upgrade those locks. Seems like they just need to pay attention to smaller cleaning details. Like I said really nice staff. Good location. But yeah they def need to upgrade a lot of stuff most importantly the locks on the rooms. Still would recommend for a budget hotel in long beach.

I never stayed in such a small room. I travel a lot but this was the first time I couldn’t walk around the bed. The standard bad got the whole room, literally! The room was supposed to accommodate 2 people but my husband and I were literally with no space to move. The room was so small that there wasn’t a place to open my luggage and the shower was so tiny that we could barely clean ourselves. Finally, after spending a night in this micro room, I asked the receptionist if there were bigger rooms and she found me a way better one, but she also charged me extra $105… The second room was way better. I still do not understand why they wouldn’t explicitly describe that that room is very small and it is just for one person max in their website. Honesty would be appreciated.

It was alright but the pace needed a thorough cleaning. The tub had mold and looked like it was time for a remodel. The loft is well equipped and spacious. Beds and furniture are comfortable and sheets were clean and soft. They offer free bottled water and have bikes for guests to use which is super nice. It is also located close to restaurants and a short walk to the marina and the convention center. We were a family of 4 and we had plenty of space and comfort. We would have preferred it to be cleaner, though.

The rooms are well maintained, the staff was super attentive and helpful. The hotel has a boutique feel to it, the rugs on the steps could use to be replaced but all in all I am very pleased with my choice.

The first room they put us in, the bathroom wasnt touched by room service. Towels and rags on the floor, trash bin had trash in it. So they put us in another room. For a one night stay, before the cruise, i guess it was ok. The guy that checked us in was personable, gave us info that we asked for, informative. The lady that was their later, i said hello to her, got no response from her. Too busy on her phone i guess. The room was small and tight. To get to the far side of the bed, my wife and i both whacked our shin on the bed frame. The bathroom, tiny. Showered, whacking my elbows on the walls trying to wash. To dry off, i went out in the walkway, had a little more room. Theirs a Vons not too far away. Also walked to Johnny Rockets, about 15 minutes away. For a cheap one night stay, may be ok. For a family, i would find somewhere else to go.

Great value hotel. Rooms are nice although bathroom could be cleaner. Area around property is fabulous with numerous restaurants and attractions. Hallways and common areas could use some refreshing. All in all a nice hotel if you need a place to stay for an evening or two but not for longer stays.
