Belem is the charming district, west of central Lisbon, and the setting for many of the capital’s most iconic tourist attractions. The Belem district makes for an enjoyable half day excursion and combines historic monuments, fascinating museums, and attractive formal gardens, all of which line with the Tejo River.
What to visit:
- The panoramic view from the top of the Padrao dos Descobrimentos monument
- Torre de Belem
- Marvel at the extravagance of the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos
- Jardim Botânico (Botanical Gardens) or visit the contemporary art of the Coleção Berardo Museum.

Belem is 5km west of the Baixa district and downtown Lisbon. The easiest way to get around is by the tram, nº15, which departs from Praça do Comércio. The journey takes 15 minutes and a single ticket purchased on the tram costs €3.00.
The tram can get very crowded, an alternative method to travel to Belem is to catch bus nº728 , passing through Praça do Comércio and Belem, on its way to Restelo. A single bus ticket, cheaper than the tram, only costs €1.85.
Finally, to get from the airport to the apartment, it can take over 1h20 by public transportartion but only 30 min by taxi or uber.

Please note that late check-ins with a greeter after 22:00 have an extra cost of EUR 20, and from midnight to 07:00 EUR 30.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 EUR smoking fee, at minimum.
Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€ included.
