Le Bas de Leynes - LEYNES
Retired winegrowers (Château des Correaux located a stone's throw away, family estate since 1803 run by their son in "reasoned viticulture" / tasting & visit possible by reservation), Marie-Edith & Jean welcome you to a lovely authentic winegrowers' house from the 19th century, carefully restored, nestled at the edge of an alley in a small wine-growing hamlet nestled in the very heart of the bucolic vineyards of the famous Saint-Véran cru (among other local productions), in the hollow of the gentle valley of Arlois ( the only one in Burgundy which, due to its geological particularity, produces both white, rosé & red wines from southern Burgundy and northern Beaujolais). A stone's throw from the picturesque town of Leynes, a charming typical and perfectly preserved village of the Côtes Mâconnaises (Romanesque church from the 12th century, several castles, beautiful carefully restored historic residences, washhouses, etc.), perched in an amphitheater under the wooded ridges of a small forest protected in the "Natura 2000" zone, at the foot of a vast wild forest massif. Magnificent soft mountain setting offering sublime panoramas & landscapes (on a clear day you can make out the Alps, the Vercors, up to Mont-Blanc from its heights). Spacious cottage of very good comfort. Vast living room. Warm country character with contemporary accents, combining tradition & modernity in the spirit of a cozy "family home". Very charming. Cozy & cocooning. Pleasant enclosed garden with a large exposed terrace & ping-pong table. Composition: Village house adjoining the owners' home (total independence without vis-à-vis). Wireless. Gas central heating. Duplex cottage. 1st floor: kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms (double bed 160x200cm / 3 single beds 90x190cm including 1 extra), bathroom (bath + shower), separate WC. 2nd floor: bedroom (2 single beds 90x190cm). Enclosed garden + courtyard + terrace + bike room + private parking. All amenities including supermarket 7.5 km. Authentic 19th century winegrowers' house fully restored with care - with a pleasant enclosed garden - located in the heart of the Mâcon countryside, partly classified as a "Zone Natura 2000" for the quality of its ecosystem, in the hollow of the gentle valley of the Arlois in the heart of the magnificent vineyards of the illustrious Saint-Véran cru, a stone's throw from the picturesque wine-growing town of Leynes & 13 km from the center of Mâcon (all amenities and river marina linked to the Saône). Peaceful residential hamlet nestled in the heart of a bucolic unspoilt valley of vineyard hillsides nestled under the wooded ridges of a vast wild forest massif, overlooking the Saône valley on the borders of the Mâconnais & the Haut Beaujolais mountains, in the extension of the renowned "Val Lamartinien" (from the name of the famous French poet & writer) & the sumptuous landscaped gem near the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France" (located 5.5 km away). Ultra-privileged location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, on the routes of the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne", the circuit of Romanesque churches, the GR76, a referenced mountain bike route (connected to a vast marked mountain bike area criss-crossing the massif) & a marked "green walk" hiking trail (several other paths of the same type winding between vineyards and the countryside to discover in the surroundings), 7.5 km from the greenway and 8 km from the EuroVélo17 cycle route along the Saone. At the crossroads of Rhône & Ain, Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Clunisois-Tournugeois (labeled "Country of Art and History") & Bresse de l'Ain, all rich in sublime landscapes, an exceptional heritage literally like world-renowned gastronomy. Ideal for exploring (A6 & RCEA connection 8 km away): 4.5 km from Saint-Amour-Bellevue (ultra-famous gastronomic stopover with its "starred" restaurants), 8 km from the Mâcon Loché TGV station, 12 km from the animal park from Touroparc Zoo, 22 km from Belleville-en-Beaujolais, 26 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 26 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny, 36 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 45 km from Tournus, 47 km from La Clayette & 47 km from Bourg-en-Bresse. The resort of choice for a cocooning family break with multiple discoveries, between nature & culture as well as discovering the vineyards!
