Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
I just want to give a summary of the facts related to this place and the circumstances of the stay. I planned on hiking the TMB trail for 10 days and rented this place for my aging parents, 76 and 77 years old, while I was on the trail so that they would have a quiet place to hang out in the mountains. The check-in, stay and check-out process were an absolute disaster.
I never got any instructions on how to check in (no email and no text) and had to call 3 times before I could get in touch with someone to get the code of the lock box and figure out which apartment we had rented.
The internet did not work from day 1 until day 6, with neither the orange box nor the tenda router having any internet connectivity. My parents were blocked an entire day waiting for the Orange crew to come with no timeframe as when they would show up. They told my parents that it had probably been broken for a while since the root cause of the issue was outside the apartment.
The plumbing underneath the sink leaked from day one, getting worse over time, so that a plumber had to be called to fix it. My mom had to wash the dishes in the bathroom in the meantime. The plumber took a picture of the joint, which had been previously repaired with “tape”, and sent it to the rental agency.
On the last day, my mom wanted to vacuum the place and found out that the actual vacuum was so disgustingly dirty that she had to clean it first.
