The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The only thing we found wrong was the carpet fraying beside the desk/cupboard. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The only let down was meal time. Instead of staff having allocated areas they, were flitting around with very little communication as to what was going on. After being brought the wrong desert and waiting 25 minutes for a coffee that didn’t arrive we, gave up and returned to our room!! Breakfast had a brilliant selection. The only issue we had was the minute we cleared a plate the staff removed it regardless of whether you wanted more! They handed out forms asking the name of staff who made you smile. Difficult to do when they haven’t given their name and badges are hidden. We would stay here again but would probably choose to eat elsewhere.

We went because we were hoping to spend some time in the spa in between the other things we were doing. On arrival we were told the steam room and sauna were closed. Evening plans ruined... So we decided to go for a swim in the morning. Having got up early for a swim and a jacuzzi we were told that the jacuzzi couldn't be used either because it wasn't ready. It should have been "open," for 45 minutes. If you want a spa hotel go with the competition. This one's a fraud.

I booked the hotel as I needed a good sleep. Check-in was great. Hotel is lovely. Staff are great. Sleep I didn't get any good sleep. The room was at the front next to the main road. Traffic was constant and very annoying. Would I stay again? Definitely not.

Great hotel only let down by heating pipes permanently running hot through the room so was a little too warm even with the heat turned down. Great facilities. Not too sure about the local area because it was only a one night stop over.
