Overall good. I had stayed there before and got a spacious room with bath. I need a bath after long walks to take care of my back. the booking system did not seem to specify that I had booked a room with a bath and not a shower. I asked to change. The front desk person was picky about it and told me there were no vacancies. It seems that a few more towels could be added to the room, a box of kleenex and better shower products. They were cheap.

You know I really want to give this Motel a better rating. It was quaint, clean, room had everything we needed, My only issue was the bed was really REALLY FIRM! If you love super firm you will love this place. There’s no staff or check in. Your key is at the entrance to the property on a bulletin board with your name on it in an envelope with your receipt and everything you need to know. I just could get a good nights sleep because the bed was so firm. So, I personally have to give it the rating I did, but with a detailed explanation so you know it’s not because of a problem, just my preference. Thanks!

The location is very convenient to Yosemite and the lakes. The view of Mono Lake across the highway is truly wonderful in the late afternoon/evening. The October Super Moon over the lake was spectacular. The updates to this vintage motel are fine, the shower works well, and it is very well maintained and clean. Check in was fine though I never saw a human being. It is, however, the noisiest place I have ever experienced. The noise from the cars zooming by on US 395 sounds like jet planes taking off. There are earplugs on the nightstand next to the bed which is always a bad sign.

Comfortable beds and room.

The room was WONDERFUL! Nice large room with comfortable beds. Parking was the only downside. We had to park on the street, but it was still close to the room. You can hear the truck noise but it wasn't bad. Would definitely stay there again.

Room was very small, but clean and everything worked. Fine place to stay for one night, but not much there other than Mono Lake. Traffic on 395 was very loud all through the night. Those trucks must be blasting through after dark! They do provide you with earplugs. Self-serve check-in, no contact with staff so I can’t rate them.

The motel has a window AC unit installed in such a way the window stays wide open so noise directly comes into the room. The motel is right off US 395 highway and lots of traffic go by even at night. It is impossible to have a good night sleep!!! I don’t recommend it.

The property has a total of 7 rooms. No one was there to greet us. An envelope with our last name was on the bulletin board with instructions and our key. There was a phone number in case we had any questions. The room was really nice (especially the bathroom). The whole experience was interesting!

Such a charming little hotel. Loved the keys being on the wall and not having to check in or out with a person. We stayed in a room on the backside and never heard a sound from outside or the people in other rooms. The room had new carpet, bedding was nice, and the room was clean. Towels were so fresh, not like the big chains. Loved staying here, would stay again!!
