Grand Decameron Panama, A Trademark Resort
"Pros: The staff was outstanding, helpful, and friendly. The location of the resort is close to the ocean and there are sufficient umbrellas and lounges for everyone. There are 4 freshwater pools to relax and again there are enough lounges and umbrellas for everyone. There are acrivities for children and adults alike. The rooms are spacious, have a balcony and face the ocean. Cons: This resort is a part of the Wyndham Resort family. I am not sure what that means since the quality of the rooms reminds one more of Motel 6. The resort is not handicap friendly. There are no elevators for persons with mobility issues to get to where they need to be. The bathrooms are cheaply constructed, when you flushed the toilet it sounded like jet engine taking off. The shower was only cold the first night. The second night it was either scalding hot or cold. There was no inbetween. For some reasons the swimming pools were closed at 6:30pm. There was also no waitstaff at the pools, where one could order drinks. So if you wanted to get a drink, you had to walk to the nearest bar. Food was only served at specific times. During the time I was there, it was either Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Rice, Chicken or some Meat, Salads and some fruit. There was not too much variety, and because the times were limited, it was always crowded and chaotic. One thing I did not appreciate was the constant pressure by sales people to sell you a time share membership. These people prowled the resort everywhere."
