We had internet password but had no idea what the server was. No internet for two days. The location which originally I thought was not what I wanted. Overlooking whalers village, turned out to be the best. Ice maker never worked, we bought ice. Problem solved. The employees were great, so helpful. Kind of a pain to have to call Ashton for ever. Great week.

I like how the property is small but immaculate. Definitely get a room that faces inward and not overlooking Whaler’s Village. Pool area could be larger, and the hot tub temperature could be much lower. Although I asked them to lower the temperature of the hot tub and many other people complained about the scalding hot temperature, it was never resolved. As a person who likes to enjoy the hot tub for a little bit each night, this was a huge disappointment.

Amazing time at The Whaler

It was amazing. Great view. Lovely pool. Never had an issue getting a lounger by the pool. Right on the beach and by restaurants. Studio was clean and well stocked. Highly recommend!

Had to move rooms as the refrigerator was noisy and the maintenance person told us that he had told management he couldn't fix i the day before. A bit of a hassle for us. Not much in the way of offering exercise/yoga classes

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here at the Whaler. It was very quiet and I noticed an older demographic seemed to be the majority of guests. I didn’t see too many young families. But I’m sure young families would do great at this hotel too. The pool looked just average which didn’t matter for us since we didn’t use it. So that might be why it doesn’t draw a lot of young families. It’s perfectly located between a bunch of other hotels and a very easy walk to the shops. Easy walk out to the beach too. We also liked the gym in the lower level. Pretty decent with a few cardio machines and weights/benches. It got the job done. Our room was very comfortable and was nice to come home to each day after being out playing all day. I really liked this hotel and would stay here again.

Nice place, except (1) patio was closed for use because outside scaffolding was in place for painting, and a painter actually entered the patio while we were in the room; (2) construction noise -- jackhammering -- on neighboring room(s?) while we were there (drove us out of the room). No warning from property or Expedia that there was construction and painting underway. We were just sort of stuck with it. Absent this, we liked the place and found it very convenient and casual. One nit: they charge a $30 a day resort fee, and still want $25 a day to rent a do-it-yourself-carry-a-chair-to-the-beach small beach chair.

Carpet was really old and dirty. Tub needs to be redone, Chips and cracks. I had to call housekeeping on day 6 to come and clean. They were supposed to come every 4 days. The front office staff was excellent as is the location. We love the Whaler!

great time in nice place

Great location, easy to check in and check out. Great accommodation- condo after recent renovation, comfortable sleep( except bed frame is low and corners are always on the way, bumped foot several times- so, be careful). Kitchen has everything and enough for daily usage. The only what we don't like- its a noise from air conditioners at the Whalers mall- its work all the time and its very loud. So, its no pleasant time on the balcony at all- balcony should be closed all the times. Otherwise, very nice property, good resort- want to come back and will recommend to my friends
