The property is a basement apartment. It has no airflow so it smelled damp and musty. Plaster was coming off the walls because of the damp. The bathroom had no extractor, the seal around the base of the shower was crumbling and badly damaged. It had had not been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. The patio furniture was dirty and covered in rodent excrement. The bbq was not usable became of rodent excrement. All the lighting fixtures are old, outdated and admitted a huge amount of heat.
