The room was incredibly outdated and dingy - stains on all the furniture and carpet, very musty smelling. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, but we had to call and ask for towels, then had to request housekeeping, which didn’t replenish basic supplies like toilet paper - which we had to call and ask for. We weren’t warned that our door/room faced a wine bar and had a noisy crowd outside our room every day. The location was the redeeming quality of this hotel and room, but I can’t imagine staying here again after everything else was less than ideal.

Very clean and brand new room, but without that toxic brand new room smell. Extremely melt into the pillow mattress feel in a good way. Loved the room! A bit funky exterior, but because they are slowly remodeling and did not impact the stay. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed due to a wedding, so I can't comment on that. We were there for the view, but ended up really loving the room and the access to the Cove and the restaurants.

The location is what made it worth it. Literally right in front of where all the Sea Lions and Seals congregate. We were in the older building and it was decent given the age of the place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious.

Pros: separate room for kids to sleep in while adults are awake/sleeping in main room was really helpful! The balcony was nice to have, decent sized, amazing view but frequented by seagulls. Cons: parking is not included was really expensive but if you don’t pay for parking you’ll never find anything else close by. There is an elevator which is nice to have but it’s sketchy at best. The room was incredibly humid! We had lots of condensation on the windows and there was a mold problem in the extra room. The carpet in the room was DISGUSTING! It was very dirty and stained. Linens were stained and dingy. The shower barely worked. You could barely get the door to the balcony open or closed it was so rusted! Several light switches were nonfunctional therefore leaving the room incredibly dark! Overall, way overpriced for what we got. But we clearly paid for the view and the spare room. The pictures online make it look like a nice place but what we saw in pictures is NOT what we got. The place is outdated and not kept up with.

I had 1 big issue during staying. 1 rat appeared in the room during staying. It made me to be terrified, I couldn’t sleep all the night, but view was good.
