This is much more like a 3 star or 2.5 star resort. The staff very friendly, but the windows in the rooms didn’t fully close which allowed in bugs/lizards. Staff very friendly and they let us check in early. The hot springs were cool - but not well lit in the dark, making them not very inviting at night at all.

We had a fabulous room with a private thermal bath and a spectacular view of Arenal volcano. The dinners were fabulously gourmet ( though expensive). The pools were wonderful, staff helpful in booking excursions. It was a great place to stay. Lovely birds on the property, away from the noise and bustle of La Fortuna. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet.

Beautiful grounds, great location

We loved this place and after our stay were very surprised we didn’t see it recommended more. The grounds especially,well maintained the birds in the area were gorgeous and a highlight of breakfast a lovely pool to enjoy with hot springs either side of the pool which were fab. The pools were all open really late which meant we could enjoy a cocktail while the kids played in the pool after a busy day In the fab area. It’s located at the top of the road from downtown fortuna but we didn’t have a car and never struggled to get an Uber either down to the town or around to the main attraction like the volcano hikes or zipling etc. Staff at both the restaurant and front desk were both super welcoming and friendly. The only think if I was being picky is our room was a little dated looking, a bit dark and the shower was a bit of pain to use but overall we LOVED our stay here.
