What a delightful experience at the Kruger Shalati!! From the amazing staff to the amazing facility, everything was full stars! When we left, I was so sad to return to the “real world”. We had the pleasure of riding with Victor for our daily game rides and spotted all Big 5! Victor was amazing along with his companion Amaze! We also had the pleasure of having our waiter Bheki for lunch and Dinner and Kate for breakfast. They were tremendous! The food was also amazing. You have to book this stay!! I’m missing it every day.

This must be one of the most special properties in South Africa, if not on the entire African continent! Every detail of our stay was made to feel extraordinarily special, from the staff stocking the game drives with our favourite beverages, to the intimate surprise fireside dinner for two. We truly left feeling that if we were to return, our favourite staff members would remember us. Thoughtful menus and wine list, superb and unique decor that embraces the local surroundings, and pleasantly long and educational game drives.

Our stay was incredible! We were treated so well by all the staff and received a personal welcome on arrival. Our game viewing guide, Ayanda, was fabulous and knowledgeable - learnt so many new things about the animals, birds and trees, etc.. I received a birthday cake, which was delicious. The food was wonderful and the menu varied. Wish I had booked a longer stay, but will definitely recommend and stay again. Thank You to all at the Train, who made our stay so exceptional.

Our trip to Kruger Shalati was one of the best experiences we've had. It is a magical place and the staff catered to our every need. The room was beautiful (we stayed in a bridge house room), the meals were fantastic (they had wonderful dishes that accommodated our vegetarian diet), and the game drives were experiences we will never forget (our guide Elvis was amazing!). This was our first safari and now we're hooked. We want to do this all the time!
