Weekend stay

Great stay, only issue, small bathroom, especially shower, although in glass cubicle, quite tight, easy to knock taps, so instantly very hot or cold. Breakfast limited, but great breakfast area.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had a bar to have a drink in. We were a couple but our room had three beds, this didn’t give us much space, so a double/twin room would have been better. The breakfast arrangements were good and there was a good variety of food option. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Massive roadworks outside hotel

On a road trip through Central Europe, we spent one night in Krakow and hotel Maksymilian. We called the day before our arrival to get guidance on where to best park the car. The staff helpfully shared there is a nearby parking lot at a fee. We asked if there was anything else we should know of and the answer was a clear ‘No’. Once in Krakow we find that the entire street outside the hotel is dug up and turned into an extensive construction site and is impossible to pass by car and even difficult to cross by foot. It took several attempts trying to get to the parking lot even with GPS. The hotel could have given us a heads up regarding this at no risk: our room was prepaid and could not be canceled. By the way, the noisy roadworks started at 7 am the next morning.
