Please read this before booking! The BP International hotel is connected to The International Boy Scouts, with a scouts store and museum located on the 6th level. This hotel is located in a good location but is old and well worn time capsule to the 1990 Chinese hotels, busy with international presumably scout troops also make for a noisey night. The room was clean enough and staff were reasonably helpful. IMPORTANT! My Visa credit card was stolen from my room possibly from the locked in room safe. I locked my Australian PP, and wallet and cash in the safe, but used payment systems on my phone so I was unaware of the theft until I was notified from Visa. I grabbed my wallet and sure enough the cards were rearranged and my Visa was gone. The scary part is that I was also notified by my ANZ bank visa, which I did not bring on my trip and remains in Australia, that fraudulent purchases had been charged to that card. All from Hong Kong Apple store. I was informed from the visa fraud department that my hotel room could have been wired with cameras, or the hotel staff was monitoring my exit times given that they can override a safe combination to access a hotel room safe, and the fact that one Visa was stolen but other cards in my name were also used implies that this is a group able to access the Dark web. They have most likely copied my Passport, Queensland Drivers license, and are selling this on the dark web. I would think long and hard before staying at this hotel. Dodgy!
