We had a rather disappointing stay at this hotel. From the moment we entered our (upgraded) room, we heard constant talking noises coming from an unclear source. After some checking, we discovered there was a staff room located directly beneath ours, which made the stay quite unpleasant.
When we contacted the staff, they initially told us this couldn’t be the case. Only after insisting did they admit there might indeed be such a room and said they would check. They offered to move us to another room, but it was of lower quality than the one we had booked, and overall it felt like they weren’t really trying to make us feel comfortable.
The rooms themselves are nicely designed, but not very practical or comfortable. Because of the rain, the bathroom got wet and dirty easily. At the end of our second day, we found that our room hadn’t been cleaned at all, which made us decide to leave the hotel early.
The hotel restaurant wasn’t great either, though the service there was nice — we preferred eating outside instead. The hotel shuttle service was also quite poor and disorganized.
On the positive side, the pool area and the beach were pleasant.
