Waiuta Retreat is the perfect place to settle in and enjoy your Island Escape.

Nestled in nature, adjacent to the National Park, we are the highest home at the top of the hill in this quiet enclave in Kingfisher Bay Resort. Enjoy panoramic sunset, water and bush views from the comfort of our 18m entertainment deck, capturing the beautiful island breeze.

A guest favourite with generous spaces in a modern, well appointed, fully equipped home at 847 Kingfisher Heights Drive, K’gari, accommodating up to 12 guests. Quiet and private for a relaxing getaway.

Reach Waiuta Retreat by 2wd, 4wd required outside of Kingfisher Bay Resort Precinct. There is a walking track adjacent to our home that leads down to the Resort, for those feeling energetic!

Guests have full access to Kingfisher Bay Resort facilities, including pools, restaurants, bars, general store, fuel and tours.

Family holiday

Deborah was a very accommodating host, even providing a Christmas tree. The house is very family friendly, plenty of plates ,cups, cutlery etc.

Beautiful property

Beautiful house with everything you would need including electric beaters prefect for our pancakes. Lots of chairs and tables. The 11 of us were able to sit together and eat, then we had plenty of room to seperate when we needed our own space. Pool table was a hit. Seperate TV upstairs and downstairs was great. Thanks for letting us stay. Would recommend this property.

K’Gari bush getaway

3 families stayed in this property (12 people total) and we had a fabulous time. Enough room for everyone. Kitchen was well appointed with everything that was need to feed the hungry hordes. Pool table was a real hit with everyone with competitions most nights. Recommend for large groups

Great base to explore the island from

Our group had an excellent stay at this house. The deck has an amazing outlook - it’s at the very top of the hill and is quite secluded. Great to have the bedrooms upstairs and kitchen downstairs so the kids can sleep well. Plenty of space for cars and the portacot, high chair, baby bath, little tables and heaps of toys were very useful!

Great family getaway

Retreat on the Island

The Waiuta Retreat is such a beautiful house with the bedrooms located up stair away from the kitchen and entertainment area, we were taken back with how much utensils and furniture was in the house there was no limit to what we could make for dinner and appreciated the BBQ area along with the various outdoor settings, this place far exceeded our expectations definitely will be booking again. Thank you so much Deborah your retreat is beautiful!

House has great layout, beds were really comfy, after camping in a tent on Fraser last time, having a good showers and luxury of aircon was amazing, will definitely be renting a house of same quality again.

Great house for a large group

Perfect place for a large group. Bedrooms are all upstairs with the deck and kitchen is downstairs and lots of separate areas if you need some quiet time. The ability to use the resort facilities at the end of the day is great to have, and its a 1 minute drive down the hill to the main part of the resort.

Fraser family home

We enjoyed our stay at Deborahs house last week. Very family friendly with a masses of toys and a great pool table. Comfortably managed 8 people for 6 days. A nice oasis after a day exploring Fraser. Thank you for the prompt return of our fishing rod before we left the island😊
